“Our property features a 1923 craftsman, single-story house with extensive additions, structures and renovations made in the 1960s and 1990s. After asking locally about Hub City Construction and seeing some of their completed work, we hired these guys to do a full-gut renovation on a small apartment inside our pool house located just behind our main house. One of HCC's major strengths is the renovation of older homes, which was the primary reason behind our decision to hire them. Finding a contractor who is not only comfortable with but also adept at renovating existing structures is difficult in our area where most other contractors prefer new or newer construction only. The company consists of Scott Pipkins, his brother Bo and their crew of carpenters and a loose confederation of specialty subcontractors. Scott and Bo listen to and address each of my questions and concerns as they arise and often catch issues well before I've even mentioned or noticed them. Their estimate process is fast and clear cut. The invoices I receive are easy to understand and can be easily reconciled against the original estimates. Any discrepancies or unanticipated costs are addressed before the invoice is received. Though the pool house apartment renovation took a bit longer than we expected, we were very pleased with the outcome. Renovating older properties often requires open-ended timelines, as you simply don't know what problems and obstacles you'll find until you start opening walls. We've gone on to initiate a new project with this company to do a full renovation on our master bathroom, closets and bedroom. We have many other projects to complete on our house and hope to continue using Hub City Construction to complete them.”

His knowledge and experience give him cross-trade insights that ordinary carpenters are lacking. He is equally at home with new construction, as well as remodeling. As a young man, I worked as a carpenter and cabinet maker, since my Dad was a contractor.
