“Scott designed and drafted plans for a master bedroom extension for us. The plans were submitted and approved by the city with no revisions. That was awesome & a relief! He listened to our desires, took time to answer our questions & responded to all our concerns. He is very knowledgeable about codes & rules. He was efficient & his fees were reasonable. It was a pleasant experience working with him. We are looking forward to having our new addition completed. We would highly recommend California At Home to anyone. “Mark was recommended to us by a local contractor, and he turned out to be great throughout the entire process. He did conceptual drawings and then the full set of plans for a major remodel on our Spanish revival home in 2009. We had alot of our own ideas and he respected them, all the while adding his own input and rolling it all together into a stunning final result. Most of the work centered around a kitchen remodel and adding a covered back porch and entry from the driveway. There was also a bath room laundry room, office area and dining room with a fireplace. He was very pleasant to work with (easy going, nice guy, etc) which helps enormously when you're trying to get the mental images of what you want on to paper. One thing still stands out is that his plans were so thorough and full of so many details. Very impressive work, and our project wasn't easy.”

“We loved working with Melissa and Jay-they are talented, professional, creative and thoughtful. They are hands-on, accessible, hardworking and caring. We needed an Architect who understood the needs of a growing family and who could redesign our home into something that would better reflect our lifestyle-Jay and Melissa were the perfect match. Not only were they wonderful to work with, but their passion and knowledge were incredible. It was helpful to have people who were focussed on the end result given that we needed to phase our project. Melissa and Jay were accommodating in helping to develop a master plan for the house as a whole, and then breaking the actual projects up into manageable phases. They had great suggestions for keeping the project within budget, while at the same time understanding where to splurge. Their knowledge of materials, products and construction resulted in a home that is far more wonderful than we expected. We appreciate that they were always available and willing to work at the pace that we needed, and that they were there with recommendations and options for every decision from design options, to cabinetry and hardware choices, to an excellent sense of color and material. “Knutson Architecture provided us with plans for a complete renovation/addition on a 1915 home in Sacramento. They were professional, easy to work with, and communicated with us every step of the way. We ran into some structural problems along the way, and Eric Knutson took care of hiring a structural engineer for us so that we did not lose too much time with new plans, changes, etc. He helped us stay on budget and on track in regards to all the renovations and changes needed. I would highly recommend Knutson Architecture for any job needed...big or small. It was a complete pleasure working with them!”
