“We are writing to wholeheartedly recommend Timothy (Tim) Strosser of Studio 810 Design as a designer and general contractor for home improvement. In 2012, we met Tim at the Philadelphia Home Show, and were impressed by Tim’s portfolio of previous designs and building projects. On his first visit to our home in the Philadelphia suburbs Tim impressed us again with his instant understanding of our home improvement needs. We wanted to build a new bathroom in a little-used space that was attached to our master bedroom, but Tim suggested a much better solution; building an addition to the house’s second floor, and placing the bathroom in it. This way we got a fabulously looking new master bathroom that is an envy of our friends and neighbors, and avoided a mistake of building a bathroom that would be to small and not convenient. Timothy also designed and built for us a mudroom in front of our house, completely redesigned and rebuilt our patio, and changed the siding all around the house. We are very satisfied with the quality of his design and workmanship of his crew. Tim is a very experienced project manager, and he worked hard to accommodate our specific requirements during the project and to adjust all the logistics accordingly. He was able to keep the project deadlines despite very unfavorable weather conditions, the climax of which was Hurricane Sandy. During the project we occasionally changed our mind regarding some details (e.g., selection of tiles), and Tim was always ready to either accept our new ideas or, when they were not practical, offer very good alternatives. During the project we developed a trusting, friendly relationship with Timothy and many of his crew members. We were so satisfied with our collaboration with Tim that, after the first big project was completed, we tasked him with a couple of smaller projects in our house (e.g., staircase renovation), and outside (landscaping). We are sure that, with his great artistic taste, his extensive technical experience, and his understanding of individual clients’ characters and preferences, Timothy can exceed expectations of the most demanding clients. We already recommended the services of Studio 810 to our neighbors, and we recommend them to you.”

He has a very keen eye for the crisp lines and modern details that make his projects really pop. I've always thought of myself as one of the more pragmatic architects, while Justin is much more the dreamer and visionary, and it shows in his beautiful and original designs. He's one of the few architects or designers I know who is putting out really high end modern design in the Pittsburgh region, and it's a truly refreshing experience compared to so many of the cookie cutter suburban developments that continually take place. “Approximately seven years ago my wife and I started to explore various options of expanding our home for our growing family. We I connected with Darrell through one of my wife's best friend who had hired Darrell. The journey began with what we "thought" made the most sense which was to build a four-season room with additional basement space below along with a detached 2-car garage as we had a 1-car garage. Darrell helped make our vision a reality on paper added sensible touches and value engineered the job. Having never had a job of this size (I get it that in reality it was pretty small), we experienced sticker shock when the bids came back and could not justify to investment to get any reasonable return on our investment. So we paused and gave more thought as to another strategy which was to go out the other side of our house with an open kitchen over a 2-car garage. Sounds simple but ask him to show you the photos. Not only does the space work but he made the house flow inside beyond our expectations. He also helped in re-imagining closets, powder rooms, a second floor bath an an office for my wife. We get rave reviews. Now four years after we completed the project, we are confident it was absolutely the best thing we could have done. Our builder commented several times to me that he appreciated the extensive notes on the drawings as it left very few change orders in the end. We have recommended Darrell to neighbors, family members and anyone who asks. You won't be disappointed if you work with Darrell. He is a joy to work with. He has great vision but also is a great listener. His guidance in the process was invaluable. “I hired Mr. Calisti to design an addition for my 100 year-old residence. He had very creative solutions to problems and his work was impressive to say the least. Every detail was well thought out. Lee developed a great relationship with our contractor and was always avaliable to answer any questions that arose on the jobsite. I felt that Lee had a great knowledge base about the newest building concepts and was able to incorporate these ideas into the addittion without affecting the original historic aspect of the house. I highly recommend Mr. Calisti to anyone looking to use architectural services.””

“Maria was the architect for our renovation of a historic warehouse bay into the office for our new self storage business. She had to deal with architectural challenges in the conversion as the old space didn't automatically meet our needs. There were more challenges as our sub-contractors original specs wouldn't work in practice. Maria jumped up and took care of these problems often before we knew they were problems. As the founders of our business were all "design challenged", it was great to have an architect with great interior design skills as well. “Matt is great to work with! He came into the disaster zone that was my first complete property overhaul. His vision paralleled mine and he was able to give advice on design ideas I had not previously considered. For example, I knew I wanted to open up my kitchen to flow into the dining room but Matt had a brilliant idea to that allowed me to do this while also creating more counter space AND a pantry in my tiny kitchen while still feeling very open. With Matt, we also created a whole new bathroom and expanded existing bedrooms by removing one half side of a cape cod roof and replacing it with a dormer that ran the length of the house. It added over 400sq/ft of living space to the house. He was very responsive to any concerns I had and provided me with all the information I needed about my reconstruction design. Matt was available when I needed him and met all timelines. I am more than please with the results and will definitely use Matt on future projects!”
