“Coogan Architects have been fantastic throughout the design process and we really couldn't have achieved the space we have without them. Laura has communicated extensively despite our build being split into two phases (second part still to be completed). Her patience and professional advice both in person and over the phone has been astounding over the last two years. We asked for dormers to be added to a semi-detached bungalow and a single story rear extension. The total extended floor space being approx. 72 sq metres. The contemporary and minimal design produced including eternit panelling, zinc and cedar cladding lifts their work away from residential and suburban to magazine chic. The space created upstairs is outstanding and difficult to believe was achieved from the eaves (2 large bedrooms and bathroom). We are eagerly awaiting the downstairs work to start (AGM Contracts, Paisley) in order that we can fully appreciate all the effort that has been put in! I would absolutely recommend Barry and Laura to anyone!”

“NVDC are a very professional and accomplished architect's practice whom I have hired on a number of different projects, ranging from the high end refurbishment of a property in Glasgow in 2009, a complete house refurbishment in Wimbledon in 2012 which involved structural changes and more recently an ongoing project involving the design of a rear two storey extension to my house. Their attention to detail, creativity and ability to interpret from a rough sketch of what we were trying to achieve to a full set of architectural plans has been very impressive. NVDC have always exceeded my expectations and also assume responsibility for resolving many of the complications involving planning regulations, structural engineering and the builders you choose to realise your project. “Studio AWA recently designed and project-managed the renovation of our house. The brief was to open up the ground floor to let in more natural light, and to make more efficient use of the living space. Studio AWA spent a significant amount of time at the outset of the project speaking to us to better understand our desired outcome and getting an understanding of our style preferences. This time was invaluable as it allowed Studio AWA to suggest ideas that we had not considered and which had a huge impact on the finished product. This included enlarging and adding additional windows, and inserting large sliding glass doors at the rear of the house. Studio AWA also provided kitchen and bathroom design services for us and, based on the high quality of this work, we asked for additional interior design help. Studio AWA provided a comprehensive service which included the selection and hiring of the quantity surveyor, engineers and building contractor, and full supervision and coordination of all the works. We were given regular updates on progress throughout. We are really happy with the finished product which has met the objectives of our brief and gone some way beyond. Our home has been transformed to provide us with a more modern, brighter, open plan living space. We would be happy to recommend Studio AWA to anyone.”

“After getting quotes and meeting with a number of architects to undertake the planning and design of a single story extension to our property we chose Stephen Allison. I have rated his company 5 stars as we really cannot fault any aspect of the job he has done for us. As this was our first experience of extending a property he was very helpful and guided us through each step to be made. I found Stephen very approachable and pro active, always taking time to explain any points we were unsure of. He also put us in touch with a structural engineer that I would also recommend as highly and he has the same professional approach as Stephen.
