“Lane Williams took our dated and very tired looking 1960’s one story, pitched roof home with a daylight basement and transformed it into a beautiful modern home with strong horizontal and vertical planes and cantilevered masses. Lane's vision for the house really came together when we decided to spend the money to expand the carport to two cars. We were thinking it might not work, but when he showed us the renderings we both just thought wow – it balanced everything out and got us a look that was spectacular. “Andrew helped us file for an Alt-2 permit with the NYC DOB. He also helped us with our co-op board package. His services included initial consultation, measurements, architectural drawings, plumbing plan, statement of work being done, filing of permit (with an expeditor), permit pulling, and other certifications required by our board. Andrew was very responsive and flexible. He was able to set up an initial consultation within 24 hours. He came prepared and measured our apartment during the consultation. We executed the contract and the first payment was made shortly thereafter. Andrew has completed all of the work in his scope and has done an amazing job. Even during the renovation process, he went above and beyond his duties and continued checking in. Andrew has provided an A+ experience and we have already recommended him to a couple of friends. He's a class act and will respond very quickly in a professional and polite manner.”

“We hired Velocipede because we were looking for a remodel of a tiny old Ballard house, and wanted to make it as sustainable as possible: we were looking for 4-star built green-level of performance, post-consumer waste materials in sourcing, support of a strong daily cycling family culture, a modern open space with a working kitchen/social space at its heart. Velocipede delivered and then some. We have lived in the new space for five years and are delighted with the way it expresses and eases our day-to-day life! His approach, vision, professionalism and attention to detail are nothing less than top notch. Babienko has a very thorough up-front exploration process that we thought a bit excessive, but discovered that it is this very process that allows him to steward the project with all the nuances of "feel", aesthetic and functionality that we were after with the remodel. While we forgot certain elements of what we wanted along the way, he and his team did not. It was amazing! The entire journey was a very collaborative, seamless and an entirely transparent process. His expertise as the interface with the construction team was invaluable and we can't imagine having done it any other way. We won't work with anyone else!”

“Bret Drager was my late wife's and my architect for a very contemporary design home we built on Whidbey Island in 2003-2004. He was personable, sensible, and creative throughout the process, and did not cost an arm and a leg. He asked us provocative questions to begin the process and came forth then with five design concepts. After we choose one, he involved us a lot in the process, but still directed us well and saved us from a number of bad mistakes we would otherwise have been attracted to. He welcomed the involvement of our contractor before construction drawings were finished, which again saved a number of headaches. When most of the last of our sweat equity -- and the house -- was finished, he visited with several of his staff to kick back and savor the result. We have kept in touch since.”
