“Alethea is amazing! She was an integral part of the team when we remodeled our entire basement, renovated our kitchen and added a large porch in the front of our home. She was the key person to help select all of the interior selections and after the work was completed, assisted in the interior furnishings as well. We did a second project with her as well. We added a laundry room that is the envy of my neighborhood. She designed and drew up all of the plans and worked well with all of the subs. Many friends have seen her work in my home and have hired her as well- both to help in structural changes as well as interior work. They all have been happy. I cannot recommend her highly enough. She is true to her word, very organized and keeps you informed throughout the project. These are rare qualities. I am happy to talk with anyone who has any questions. Thanks!”

“We just completed construction on our new home in the White Bear Lake, MN area. We had been looking for a tear down opportunity on a nearby lake for a couple years, and when a property presented itself, we quickly sprung into action. We have identified our builders in advance (Sustainable9) and based on our vision for the home, they introduced us to Unfold Architecture. Their previous projects, both out West and here in MN, fit the mountain modern/Minnesota modern style we were seeking. From the get go, the team at Unfold were amazing partners. Through conversations and inspiration photos we shared on Houzz, they took our long wish list (maximized lake views, lower level walkout, modern but welcoming, mid-century influences) and designed the perfect house. Their houses are striking architecturally but also extremely livable and functional. They use state of the art CAD models to help you envision what the home would look like. It’s remarkable how close the house turned out in respect to the early renderings. And throughout the process, they were collaborative partners, incorporating feedback from both us and our builders, presenting us initially with several options and then honing in on our chosen design. We could not be more pleased with the process (even in the midst of Covid challenges) or the end result, which is truly the dream home we envisioned.”

“I hired Hart's Design to design an addition to my home in Edina. This included a garage, workshop, master bath, roof deck, laundry/mudroom expansion. sunroom, and kitchen expansion. Admittedly, I am a very particular/difficult client. Generally, I am not satisfied with anyone I hire and usually consider it successful if the interaction does not end in the exchange of profanity. I know this about myself and tell people this prior to working with them. I have never offered to serve as a reference for any contractor or designer in the past. Robert was excellent. He took our ideas, added his expertise and brought it to life. He was responsive and timely and the rates were very reasonable. He delivered exactly what he said he would. I particularly liked that I could work with him to create a design/blueprints that we liked. I was then able to take these detailed plans and get bids from a number of contractors rather than being tied to a single design/build firm. This was some of the best money we spent on our addition. I would recommend Hart's Design without reservation.”

He drew up a design to finish out some required work on the cape for stairs and cabinets. When I bought the Federal he walked through the home and prepared a plan of attack for making the house more livable for the twenty-first century without destroying the beauty and authentic character of the home. “We hired CONSTUCT Design twice for two distinct remodels on our 1903 house. Adrienne’s vision to transform our historic home with modern flow and refined touches was born from her ability to listen and understand how we lived in our space. She gave us choices that fit our budget and was a steady hand throughout the entire demo/buildout and through to the final finishes. She advocated for us in any questions with the contractor and made the transition seamless. House remodeling is an inherently stressful enterprise, but Adrienne was a rock and a reassuring presence throughout the whole process. I highly recommend CONSTRUCT Design if your considering a home remodel and aren’t in the mood for a cookie cutter design and no architect interaction after the blueprint ink is dry. Adrienne is the antithesis of that business model.”
