“I am homeowner in an historic preservation district in Oklahoma City. My home is designed in the Prairie School of Architecture and therefore I wanted to work with an architect for a complete interior renovation who would honor the integrity of the original design and also let the space reflect both modernity and sustainability. After interviewing several local architects, I landed on TASK design and Ken Fitzimmons - and have never looked back. I have now lived in the renovated space he designed for more than 5 years and honestly everyday, I fall in love with it all over again. From 30,000 feet, Ken designed the space to be vibrant, lively and also sustainable. Where possible (given the limitations in an historic preservation district) he selected sustainable materials, added elements to make the house more energy efficient and also recycled the materials that were removed during the demolition phase.
