In my capacity as Director of Facilities and Outreach, I worked with architect Chris Billingham to design an 800 sq ft. freestanding building (called "The Pines") that would fulfill our needs. Chris is an utter pleasure to work with; he listened to us so carefully and well, he had a clear understanding of the school's needs and financial limitations, and finally, he designed a space that was as beautiful as it was functional. Once completed, it was a joy to see the way the whole school community took to the space. It was perfect for our needs and almost as soon as it opened, it was hard to imagine life without it.
