“Brad was great to work with and turned my ideas into a reality but he also added a lot of his own ideas to make the home more than first class. We also worked through a lot of major design issues together due to the available lot space. It was impressive how we could come up with innovative solutions that we could agree on, and still make the house very livable and still beautiful. Every time I'm in my yard I see people stopping just to look at my home. Brad worked on an hourly basis and did not nickle and dime me, so the cost was quite reasonable. My interior designer ended up costing me more than his architect services. He also worked well with my contractor, surveyor and the authorities in Clearwater. “Tom Szumlic designed a wonderful house that has served us very well for the past twenty-two years. He was a great listener during the planning stages, was patient with a perfectionistic client, and came up with a functional, beautiful house for our family. We get lots of compliments and notes through our mail slot from people wanting to buy if it should ever be available, which is always nice! Frequently I think about humorous things Tom said during the planning and building, and I remember what a special experience it was. Actually, the rubber met the road recently when I had to replace a column in the breezeway that had sunk, and the contractor wondered if the foundation had failed. We pulled out the plans and saw that Tom, in his wisdom, had reinforced that area with extra concrete, so we knew we were probably only dealing with some 22-year-old rotten wood. It was an easy fix, and I was reminded once again how blessed we were to have been able to work with Tom.”
