“Legacy and Chris's team did a great job with our renovation. Our job was significant including a complete update on all electrical, HVAC, plumbing, windows, bathrooms and with the addition of a new kitchen and modern spaces to an older home. Their attention to detail in the work and responsiveness throughout the project was appreciated. They had a daily foreman who was always available to discuss the work and options. They worked well with us to be respectful of our budget but were also always willing to discuss alternatives and new ideas. Overall we were extremely pleased with the final work.”

“The kitchen/dining area in our Shandaken (Catskills), NY house--built in 1967 as an uninsulated hunters' lodge--was on its way out. The oven no longer worked, the third of the three refrigerators we went through was utterly inefficient, the cabinet drawers often stuck as if they were cemented in place! Long story short: Dan Dwyer and his excellent and friendly crew gutted the area, added insulation, installed recessed lighting, rewired extensively, and revamped the plumbing (so that we no longer need to crawl under the house to drain the pipes in winter). They installed the new cabinets perfectly. They removed a wall to extend the small kitchen. All that and more was AFTER Dan himself suggested a new design, including removing the wall, which worked beautifully. When we saw what his crew accomplished with the kitchen (where they discovered and eliminated mold, an unexpected health benefit), and noted the exquisite tiling of the new floor and back splash, we asked them to sand and poly the floor and staircase in the adjacent living room, install insulation there as well, and replace the molding (his suggestion, not ours). We could go on forever: Hire Dan and his people; you will be delighted.”

“Simple Integrity renovated our old lake front camp. This project included jacking up the camp, replacing the foundation piers and central carrying beam, demolishing the old kitchen, bathroom and a bedroom, building a new kitchen with new windows, a new bathroom and replacing the roof. Josh and the guys from SI also built us a new deck and stabilized the staircase to the lake. From the start Josh's estimates were right on the money and the job cost exactly what they had estimated and within the time frame they predicted. The crew's work was awesome and exceeded our expectations and our vision. They were unfazed by the complexity of the renovation and tackled all tasks with confidence and speed. Best of all they were a pleasure to work with from start to finish. They brought an old falling down camp back to life and it is a joy to spend time there. “I had interviewed 10 contractors prior to hiring JAL construction. I was in an area that was hit hard with Super Storm Sandy and Jal Construction had just completed a home around the block from me. I asked the homeowner what his experience was and he had nothing but raving comments. I had two homes to complete because my mom was hard hit as well. So after my mom's architecture plans for her new home was complete I had John come over and give me an estimate. John was very fair in his estimate and the quality of his product was much better than the other contractors. For instance he used solid wood interior doors and Pella professional series where everyone else was using Anderson 100 series and hollow doors. John was a pleasure to work with throughout the whole process constantly checking in to make sure everything was as we wanted. I also liked the fact that he would do one home at a time which made the process much quicker. I was so impressed by the quality and workmanship that I hired John and Jal Construction to do my house as well and I was equally impressed”
