“Jeff Hand has remodeled two bathrooms and a front porch for me, and supervised the construction of a concrete staircase. Jeff is a master craftsman, does immaculate carpentry, and he is a perfectionist. He is completely transparent about costs and timing, knowledgeable about all aspects of construction, and highly skilled in dealing with subcontractors and material suppliers. I've relied on Jeff for both design and execution. His solutions are practical and elegant. Examples: putting a washer and dryer under a long countertop in a narrow bathroom and making it work both visually and functionally; designing and building (from scratch, and in the pouring rain) a new front porch that gives character to an otherwise dull Victorian. In every case his eye for design is ruled by proper building technique. He pays equal attention to the overall scheme and the smallest detail. I give him the highest recommendation.”

“Jeff Bergby is building our new home. It is a 2,000+ sq. ft. one story home. It will be complete in Jan. 2013. Jeff is very experienced and builds quality homes. He has a consistently positive, up-beat attitude on and off the job site. He has had several homes win in "tour of homes" in our area. Jeff has been very easy to work with, making suggestions but always letting us make the final decision. Jeff works hard to stay in budget and meet deadlines to the best of his ability. He's never pushy nor has a know-it-all attitude. The sub-contractors are very professional, also, and have done excellent work. I would highly recommend Jeff Bergby for constructing a new or remodeling an existing home.”

We've been so impressed by the quality of his work, his patience with our ever changing wants and needs, and his cool composure in the face of the inevitable challenges that arise when doing a big project. We're going to work with him on our home remodel this year, and are looking forward to it. He's a wonderful designer, has great ideas and makes good choices. “Dick, Tim and Dave at LHL bring their individual strengths to form a complete team; from the up-front, thorough project scoping, to the permitting process and the daily on-site project management. They worked closely with us to detail and agree on the cost and schedule implications of our choices before beginning work. Our project involved a complete tear-down and rebuild, with unforeseen issues that arose with the reclaim/disposal of old materials and with site drainage. The LHL team communicated issues promptly and worked with their subs to develop solutions that kept our project moving forward and on budget. They offered alternative solutions, detailing the cost and schedule implications of each. They put in extra work to develop materials lists for our modified house plans that weren’t quite “build-ready,” and created working copies for their subs. They were sensitive and considerate of neighbors and worked within the constraints of our HOA while completing a project that was noisy and messy for an existing neighborhood. “Brad Skreen did renovations of three bathrooms and one laundry room for us. They weren't total tear-outs and rebuilds, and Brad was easy to work with in meeting our needs and budgets. What little work we weren't totally satisfied with was quickly corrected. In fact, Brad noticed some defects in work that we hadn't seen and had them corrected. He did a good job in ordering tile (not overbuying), guiding us to suppliers and hiring high quality workmen. He was onsite once or twice almost every day work was being done. When a tub was chipped during demolition, he took care of the repair out of his pocket. I wouldn't say his price was cheap, but it seemed entirely reasonable. Some months after the bathroom work, no problems have cropped up.”
