Our first cabin we used a local craftsman, he was good, but was not done in a timely manner and had to come back for a lot of finishes. When we decided to redo our "main" house we chose McKernon and it was the best decision we made. The builders started on time and the project was completed on date agreed upon in the contract. The site was always clean and orderly. The craftsmanship in the cabinetry was top notch. I really can't say enough for the company and employees. If I was going to build again, I would hesitate to call upon them.”

“Brian Harrington and Company (for his crew is small but memorable) worked assiduously to create a new, modern living space in my old 1850's farmhouse. The main living areas were totally gutted and redesigned by Nancy Leary (see her page), and the work was completed in a timely, responsible manner by Harrington's team. My old house and I presented them with quite a few serious problems, and Brian's core guys, Adam (construction), Gordon (carpentry), and young Ben (everything), worked tirelessly to rise to the occasion. Among the issues they solved were: the extremely buckled and uneven flooring in central living area, incorporation of new wood stove fireplace in LR and gas fireplace in Master Bedroom, total rehab/installation of large, modern kitchen, and recreation of a new front porch to the match the design of the original, lost long ago. They also managed to complete a few other projects that got tacked onto the job with good humor and inventiveness. You will feel safe in their experienced, professional hands.”

“I chose Dan Foley to renovate a kitchen after checking with previous clients about the quality of his work, his attention to schedule and good price for the work done. He met all of these expectations. The project he did for me was: building new cabinets, arranging for a soapstone counter, installing a sink, dishwasher, re-coating an enamel top from a previous cabinet and installing it on a new cabinet, repairing the ceiling and under girding the floor. All of this was done to my satisfaction. He also followed up addressing issues after the project was completed.”
