We hired Montemayor to fix old tiling and potential water damage around a bathtub. They did a good job. Communication was friendly and responsive, and they took the time to answer all our questions and concerns. We would recommend them!

For our basement, we wanted to change the carpet to laminate flooring and add a kitchenette (small cabinets, sink, counter, backsplash, fridge). After speaking to a few contractors, Santiago was the only contractor that I felt comfortable working with. Santiago helped us with ideas and planning throughout this project. He was communicative, honest, easy to work with and always on time! Santiago's team were amazing individuals that worked hard and made this construction project easy on us. Not only was the project was finished on time and on budget, they went above and beyond with their work (the details in their work was spotless). Since we were at home during the project, they covered the floors and basement entrance to make sure that the home didn't get dirty. My wife and I have nothing but great things to say about them! If you are looking for a contractor that is personal, caring, cost effective that does a great job, I recommend you to work with Montemayor.

I had the pleasure of working with Montemayor General Contracting on two bathroom renos in my home. I never thought I'd associate the word "reno" with "pleasure" but that's how I felt upon the completion of this four-week job. I'm very pleased with the results! Santiago and his team were efficient, professional and easy to work with. I knew I'd hired the right company when the crew arrived and began covering my floors in protective blue floor mats - starting from my back door and all the way upstairs. From there, the work progressed speedily without interruption. The crew and tradespeople arrived on time and worked hard. I was impressed by their attention to detail and by the quality of the workmanship. Santiago is personable, honest and has high standards, even extending to the final site clean-up. His team washed all my floors and left my garage (where they stored supplies and tools) cleaner than when they arrived. I have no hesitation in recommending this company.

We hired Montemayor General Contracting for a home renovation project (demolition of existing fireplace, retiling fireplace, drywall, painting), and would absolutely recommend them. Santiago and his team were responsive, polite, proactively communicative, and completed the project in a timely manner. Santiago worked extremely hard to meet expectations, and when there were revisions/touch-ups to be made, handled the feedback in a transparent and gracious way. Laundry room and basement wall. Santiago stood out from the beginning as very communicative and open, he was very transparent about the quote and very responsive. His team was always on time, polite and kept the house tidy. Although towards the end of the project there were some finishes we were not happy with, Santiago made sure these were remedied and done to our satisfaction. He is a very honest and trustworthy person who cares about the quality of his work. We will be happy to work with him again in the future.

We really enjoyed working with Santiago and the Montemayor team. They are good communicators - they provide updates on their work, they escalate issues or questions as they arise and they consult with the homeowner/sponsor before making any decisions or assumptions. They are also very courteous - making sure they're giving lots of heads up if they're coming to work during off hours, cleaning up at the end of each day. Finally, their quality of work is great - we are very happy with the end result and are really enjoying our new spaces in our home. Montemayor contracting completed a bathroom renovation for us. We found the Montemayor team great to work with. They were punctual, clean and tidy, and we were happy with the finished bathroom. One thing that we found sets Montemayor apart is that there is a great administrator who keeps you organised with dates, picking your tiles etc, and with the billing. Communication and organization was excellent. We had a few minor adjustments that needed to be made at the end of the project (nothing out of the ordinary). Salvatore was responsive and extremely fast to tie up all loose ends.

I learned about Santiago and his contracting company from a local community group. The woman who recommended him emphasized his timeliness, clear communication, transparency and quality work. Within an hour of reaching out to him to request a quote, we were in touch. In the weeks that followed, Santiago and the Montemayor General Contracting Team lived up to that initial review, going above and beyond to renovate our two wildly outdated bathrooms. I live in a small semi in Toronto and wanted to maximize the bathrooms. Santiago's recommendations and suggestions helped open the spaces, improve the flow and they're now absolutely beautiful. They reconfigured the layout, moved plumbing, completed beautiful tile work and modernized the spaces above and beyond expectation. He took great care of our home outside of the bathroom, trying to limit the spread of dust and debris throughout the house. I honestly felt like he cared for our home the way he would care for his own. In addition to the beautiful work that the team completed, Santiago and his team were an absolute pleasure to work with. Santiago is kind, responsive and punctual. We communicated over WhatsApp regularly about the status of the project and I always felt great about the updates and communication. I thoroughly enjoyed meeting him through the renovation project and highly recommend he and his team to anyone looking for work done to their home. I can't wait to have him back to do our kitchen in a few years!

We had various jobs around the house - 2nd kitchen demo, complete reno of laundry and pantry rooms, cold storage demo and cleanup, hardwood buffing - and Santiago and his team were able to do everything and more! Santiago was very professional and knowledgeable from the first meeting; stood out from other contractors just by the things he looked at and the way he described the work to be done. They were able to get the work done in a tight timeline, and communications were always open and friendly. Highly recommend and would definitely hire again for next job!

We worked with Santiago and Montemayor General Contracting on a bathroom remodel in early 2022. Very happy to recommend Santiago and his team: high quality of work, on time, on budget, no surprises. Santiago regularly updated us on progress and openly talked through our options for the reno we were doing. It was a sensitive project - the bathroom was only done 3 years ago, however we unfortunately had a leak, so Santiago came in, ripped up the tile floor, installed a curbed shower on our request (to replace the curbless with linear drain that was installed incorrectly), tiled, and reinstalled our existing vanity and toilet. All the work was done with care and precision. He is very honest and open, with quality work. I would not hesitate to contact Santiago for future projects and have recommended him to several friends already.

Santiago and Yusuf were great to work with. They put the finishing touches on my basement, including a fantastic shower build. It looks great and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone for their quality and professionalism. Will be having them back to finish the kitchen soon.

I hired Santiago to fix my backsplash since I changed my microwave to a smaller size and was left with an ugly looking whole in the wall. He came on time and did an amazing job! My backsplash looks like new. I highly recommend Santiago and his company.

Santiago and his team were extremely professional with our basement renovation. We met with several contractors for quotes but were never really comfortable proceeding with any of them. Santiago was referred to us from a family member and after meeting with him and receiving our quote we knew he was our best choice — and we are so glad! He completed the job on time from the schedule he gave us with no delays (even through the ups and downs of covid closures and material shortages).
