Get Renovated

We would highly recommend Get Renovated. Jim and his crew of Doug, Josh and Mike totaly transformed our unfinished concrete basement into a beautiful finished office, living space, laundry room, and storage room. Not only was their work very professional, but they completed several other jobs for us that were not on the original work order. They were very flexible as we changed our minds about several things as the work progressed, and they were willing and able to alter the plans. We are extremely pleased with the finished product and have already hired Jim for another project!

We hired Get Renovated in May 2016 to paint the interior of our house. (The previous year, Get Renovated had repaired and repainted plaster damage caused by a leaking roof and we were impressed by the job they had done.) We were very happy with the job. The price was reasonable; the painters were very friendly and professional and cleaned up after themselves every evening before they left. We would definitely hire them again.

Get Renovated was referred to us by another contractor. We needed to tear out our basement due to water damage and hired GR to rebuild and improve on the existing basement. Jim Abbott, the companies owner showed up quickly for an appointment. He and his crew are excellent workers and did there best to make the construction process as uninvasive as possible. Though his estimate was higher than other vendors, we felt more comfortable with the way he spoke to us. They had to work their schedules around several other trades and were very amenable to changes needed in the process. The finished product was of a high standard. He supervised all the work daily. I would recommend his company anytime and would work with him again, heaven forbid, should anything else come up.

I have used them many times before, but the last project we had a tight timeline to get things done and they were able to get it done. Nice and tidy job site. They had one thing they had to fix up and Jim got a guy on it right away. I would recommend to family and friends.

They did a major remodel including taking down low baring walls. They were a very engaging, fun and professional team. They were good quality. I would and already have recommended them to family to friends.

Bathroom renovation. Finished product and workmanship was excellent. Project coordination between trades was poor and caused errors in construction. As owner being required to select and purchase materials rather than select and have contractor purchase and deliver materials was cumbersome and led to further errors due to lack of knowledge of construction requirements.

They were professional and did it in a timely manner. They were clean with their work and cleaned up after themselves. I would recommend to anybody. The job he did was beautiful. I am very happy with the project they did.

He has put in flooring for me in my dining room and living room. He just recently completed the master floor and bathroom. He was absolutely professional. I have used him multiple times. About 3 years ago, he came in and reinstalled a cabinet that had fallen off the wall. He know his work and he stands behind his work. He is always professional and helps get his team started. If I had any issues he would come back and fix them immediately. I would recommend to family and friends.

We have called Jim and Get Renovated for a variety of jobs, big and small, over the past few years, including building a new deck, replacing trim and popcorn ceilings, and installing built-in bookshelves and new flooring. In every case, Jim and his team have provided friendly, timely, top-quality service at very reasonable cost. Jim and his crew did a great job on our Living room and Dining room renovations. Our project involved removing stucco ceilings, carpeting and widening the doorway between the 2 rooms. The ceilings were smoothed and painted. Hardwood flooring replaced carpeting, new baseboards were put in and all walls received a fresh painting. We came back from a short trip to Quebec City to find everything completed to our satisfaction. We had a slew of people over at various times over the Christmas holidays and everyone loved what we had done with the Living and Dining rooms. Thanks Jim for a job well done!

Get renovated did a great job on my home. I live there with my mother and now that I’m up there in age, I say Mom lives with me. Get Renovated turned our small outdated kitchen, into an open-concept dining area and kitchen. They removed a wall, moved electrical, plumbing, installed new hardwood flooring on the main level and lower family room, layed ceramic tiles at the front door, changed all the staircases to stained oak (previously carpet). Smoothed out the stucco ceilings, installed pot and pendant lighting. Installed new kitchen cabinets with a 4’ x 9’ stone counter. Installed new baseboards and crown molding. Painted the 2 main levels and the upper hall and doors. They did the work on the timeline we agreed to and the crew was very respectful of our home and kept things neat and tidy. My mother and I could not be happier with the result. We are telling everyone we know and my mother is inviting all the neighbors in to see it. I was impressed with how the owner, Jim treated his workers. He treats them well and in return, I witnessed their efforts to do a good job. The lead man on my project was Doug and his attention to detail and desire to do a good job allows me, without hesitation, to recommend Jim Abbott and his team for your next renovation.
