As both an award-winning artist and interior designer, Renée Céleste Flanders brings a unique interpretation to interiors as art in which to live and work. She relishes the excitement of blending the old with the new, the elegant with the simple, yet ever mindful of practicality. Interiors that captivate and comfort body, mind, and soul are the result of her imagination and creativity. As an artist, Renée holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts and a Master of Fine Arts in Painting. She also holds a degree in Interior Design. Her education, knowledge, and expertise in art have forged strong alliances with artists and galleries worldwide. She is emphatic about the importance of fine art in her designs and the positive effect that art has upon one’s life. If a client doesn't already have a collection, they soon do, even perhaps including one of Renée's own pieces. Her unerring eye for color and design is her signature as an artist. Renée is a Professional Member of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). She has served as President of the Missouri East Chapter ASID.

We consulted Renee because we are planning to construct built in bookcases and a corner television cabinet ourselves. We have big ideas, a small space and an even smaller budget. Renee suggested space saving solutions and gave us multiple design options. We now have a design plan which both integrates with and compliments the look of our existing architecture. We never would have imagined this plan all by ourselves. Thank you Renee. You are clever, creative and fun to work with. We are so excited with our fresh new ideas!

Renee is a true visionary!! I gave her the most difficult room in the house, the hearth room, and she did wonders. It's like she new exactly what I wanted before I did. I try to think what is the best transformation she did {drapes, paint, furniture), but it is all so perfect.I can't wait to start another room.

Renee is a fabulous interior designer. She has designed my kitchen, living spaces, master bedroom, newly built Chicago condo and my husband's medical practice office, over the space of seven years. She brings fresh ideas to all of her designs and is a delight to work with. She is my go to designer for all of my projects, from selecting new carpet for a room to total gut rehabs. I wouldn't work with anyone else.

I have worked with Renee on several projects at my home, including a complete kitchen remodel. She is always fun to work with, has a great eye for color, is exceptionally creative and is respectful of the budget. She is great at incorporating furniture and items you already have into the design and mixing in the unexpected so that each design is unique.

We have been working with Renee for over a year and a half now and love how our home has evolved. She totally understood our vision from the beginning and has worked hard to give us our dream home. She is a great listener and is always coming up with fresh new ideas. Renee is a joy to work with, we look forward to each session with her. Unfortunately, we will soon run out of rooms to decorate.

This is very hard to do. Renee worked very closely with us over the period of now 18 months and we are still working our way through the house. She is very respectful of our ideas and yet pushes us in directions we may not have gone on our own. Much of what she has done is custom and really fits us and our house. She hasn't forced her design plans on us but has engaged us in a collaborative effort with a clear point of view. The custom pieces that she has designed are truly creative and fit the vision that we share with her. We have completely redone our master bathroom and bedroom, living room, and den and are now working our way through the rest of the house. She has worked closely with our contractor and his people and her follow up has been wonderful. Amazing talent!

I am an intern for Renee and working with her I have learned so much! She does a beautiful job on every space she has created. She is very easy to get along with and knows her stuff! She is willing to push her clients to make their space the best it can possibly be, all within the clients taste to make it a space they will love for a lifetime.

Comentado: I love the wood beams along with the fireplace.Thank you, Tina! For an open, spacious feel, we figured about 5'-6' between the beams and spaced them accordingly, from the center out. 6" wide and high seemed right for the proportions.
