Green Valley Landscaping did an excellent job on our small job of taking out overgrown trees and shrubs and replanting. We live in a townhouse and all the material had to be chopped up and removed in bags through the house. Green Valley did this with extreme care and made sure nothing was damaged. Super job. The crew was excellent and were open to my questions. In this day of not trusting companies this is one you can. I highly recommend them.

Highly recommend. Wanted a back yard that was easier to maintain, and they removed plants/shrubs/small trees and planted shrubs as suggested. I am so thrilled by the new yard. They also did sidewalk brickwork, and this was also done very well. Easy to deal with company and crew. Will hire again for any outdoor work. Very professional and costs were very reasonable.

Green Valley installed a small shade garden in the front of my house, along with some beautiful flag stones to make a path for the kids. We love it so far, and really appreciated the professionalism and efficiency of the folks who installed the garden. Plus, the price was very reasonable. Green Valley did two jobs at my home. They repaired my front steps and did a thorough job. They recommended the type of salt I should be using in winter to prevent damage. Salt which is not hazardous to dogs would be the one to look for. The clean-up was exceptional. They cleaned my property and did my neighbors as well. They also planted an everygreen tree to replace one that died. I especially liked being able to speak to Irene about the details of the jobs. She was readily available which is unusual.

Legit review. Booked work late spring, had it done early August because the team was so busy. I let them know when my daughter's ideal first birthday party was going to be taking place in the yard and they accommodated -- were even done AHEAD of schedule. Working through email for quoting and payment with Irene was friendly and effecient. Asked for an additional job while team were on site and it was quoted, approved and included in the work within the time frame. This was back yard work and driveway and narrow (!!) gap between our houses is WAY cleaner than it ever was before they got here. Joe always came on time and prepared with solutions. Danny and his team always came on time and worked full days. Lots of mention of Joe in the reviews (who is great), but Danny needs some shout outs too as a hard working, excellent customer facing, skilled professional. No BS. Down to earth. Would recommend to anyone and absolutely hire again. Thank you for all of your help. Honestly my best experience with any contractor.

Green Valley Landscaping did an excellent job on our front yard. We asked them to plan and install new landscaping after a major renovation of our house. They provided excellent recommendations that stayed within our budget, and did the work efficiently and on time. We are very happy with the result and are enjoying their work from last year (the work was done in September 2021, and I am writing this review in June 2022). We would use them again without hesitation.

Simply put, they are AMAZING! When I began this project I didn’t know where to start, but with Joe’s guidance and immense experience we were able to figure out a plan and implement it. The crew he has is especially fantastic. They come in very early, work extremely hard and are very pleasant to deal with. The crew from Greenvalley came today and did a fall cleanup on my property that I struggled to maintain. They were fast and efficient, there was not a blade of grass left on the driveway or a leaf left on the sidewalk. I was very impressed with the work and would highly recommend!

From the start, there was excellent communication about the project with respect to timing, materials and pricing. When covid impacted all of those things, I was notified so that expectations could be met. My whole front yard was redone with tree and shrub removal, paving stones laid and new perennials and shrubs planted. I was thrilled with the end result- my expectations were exceeded.

Green Valley Landscaping did a great job in our backyard. During the consultation with Joe, he listened to our wishes and made suggestions to fix some existing issues with our backyard; he was mindful of our physical limitations to take care of the plants and grass, recommending plants that are beautiful, resilient and easy to care for in a raised flower bed; he then provided us with detailed written instructions on how to take care of everything in the future, which will definitely help us. We are very satisfied with the professional job that was done and now we can finally enjoy the backyard. On top of the great quality of work and materials, we noticed that the left over wood chips were used in our front flower bed, which was not part of the project but it shows how much they care for their clients; it was a nice touch that made us feel valued as customers. We have already recommended GVL to a few friends.

When I called the company they were very quick to get back to me. They did an amazing job cleaning my 90 year old mom's house of very neglected weeds just everywhere. In the driveway cracks, in patio slab cracks and also in the interlocking walkway. They cleaned out all the overgrown weeds one day and then came back the next day and did a weed control spray to keep things under control. I am very pleased with the work done by the crew at Green Valley Landscaping. Joe, Jason, Danny and their crew did an excellent job on the backyard reno. This included taking out the old lawn, adding 2" top soil, grading and then new sod. They also removed old stonework and reset the stones. They cut in for the flower beds and added mulch. The work was done on one of the hottest days and they worked tirelessly and timely. The job was done in a day. They cleaned up well after the job was completed. We hired Green Valley to landscape our front yard and widen our driveway. It wasn't a huge job but it was important to us to improve the curb appeal of our home. Joe came for a consultation in March and he was professional and knowledgeable. Irene in the office was friendly, accommodating and efficient. We received our job quote within days of Joe's visit and the job started about two months later. The crew worked very hard to complete the job within the allotted time schedule and the results are fabulous. Neighbours stop to stare at our front yard now! We moved our lawn maintenance and landscaping needs to Green Valley after mediocre service from another company for several years. Working with Irene and Joe has been excellent, as is the quality of work done by their maintenance crew. They are responsive, genuine, and honest company and team to deal with. We’d highly recommend and are planning on using them when we do more extensive landscaping in the future as well.

We needed help updating our gardens. The website of Green Valley portrayed work that we thought we needed at our home. Joe attended at our site on time and commenced his assessment in a knowledgeable and professional manner. He patiently listened to our needs and developed some recommendations and, in fact, noted some some critical flaws in the current plantings. His recommendations were elegant and cost-effective. For the installation, again, Joe's crew appeared on time, fully equipped and stocked to complete the work. Irene monitored the scheduling throughout in an effective and pleasant manner. The crew was very mindful of the limited parking arrangements and worked within the limitations. The job was completed in a neat and professional manner on a timely basis by an informed crew who took pride in their work. We are very pleased with the results. The approach taken by Green Valley made what could be an arduous process very straightforward and pleasurable, and the quality of the work gives us great pride in our home. We highly recommend Green Valley.

In July, Green Valley did garden makeovers both front and backyard, relocated our trampoline, created a backyard patio area and installed garden lighting. Joe was fantastic to work with and his team did an amazing job. They worked very quickly yet paid a great deal of attention to details. They have been maintaining my garden all summer and it has never looked better. In my experience Green Valley is an excellent company with brilliant customer service.

Joe was great, he patiently explained how to take care of the plants he suggested, the team was on time and on budget. We do wish they had given us a bit more diversity in terms of plants and shared more options (the type of Hyndrngeas, hostas, and other types of perennials...). We don't know may plant varieties, so it was hard for us to tell them what to pick so we went with their proposal, and our garden, while beautiful, looks a bit monotonous. In any case, we'd go back with GVL.

Thank you Joe, Irene & Jason Belo and their excellent crew to make it possible to transform my front garden from a "lawn that never flourished and older plants that did not do well" into a beautiful Garden. Both Sides along my Driveway were transformed after removing the grass and older plants, new top soil was placed and new beautiful perennial plants were planted, rocks were placed in various areas, larger Stones were placed around the Maple. The final Touch was Cedar Shavings. It is a pleasure now to look at this new transformation. The project was started June 16 and completed June 18, all as scheduled and planned, even though there were some obstacles to be overcome as the City was ripping up my street to lay new Waterlines. The City and GVL Crew worked together so the project could be completed as planned. We embarked on our multi-phase landscape project with Green Valley Landscaping (GVL) last year. Our first phase consisted of starting to put some shape and character into a backyard that was left with merely fence and grass by the builder after a new home build. The initial investment was in laying out some flower beds, addressing the need for privacy (very close neighbours) with an eye to a future patio area. Our phase two was the construction of the patio area and the replacement of our front lawn and over the winter we decided we wanted to make some changes to our front landscaping (largely by replacing an ugly arbour stone retaining wall along the driveway) to make the front more finished and appealing. Joe and Irene reached out in early Spring to discuss our plans and as the snow was finally melting we were busy crafting our design. During this process no question was ever too stupid, any ‘I don’t understand‘ was always thoughtfully explained, and when we weren’t clear on a material or size of the patio a sample was waiting for us and the patio roughed out in green spray paint one night when we got home from work. We were never rushed and it was always genuinely important to Joe that we understood everything that was going to be done and we were happy before we proceeded with any work. Our ideas and opinions were always welcome. The work was done in early June. Joe was on site everyday with his team, who included his fantastic lead-hand Danny. Our work was delivered ahead of schedule and on budget. At the end of each day our property would be cleaned up, all tools put away, everything was leaf blown and immaculate – only to start again the next day – we never felt like we were living in a mess or chaos and the respect shown to our property was beyond professional. Joe’s attention to detail and the “little” things are what really make the difference and bring the design to life - taking it to another level. You are wise to take Joe’s lead on a recommendation or an idea – just go with it – he can see the finished product in his minds’ eye and we have learned to trust that vision given the finished product! Joe is very fussy and the quality of his work is very important to him. We had Banas stone coping put on our front wall – Joe wasn’t happy with the colour and the look of the third piece after they’d cut and installed it – it was something I didn’t totally see but he did and the next day that stone piece was removed and a new piece was installed. We have had so many comments on our backyard and the changes to the front. Our neighbours have remarked on more than one occasion on what fabulous workers Joe’s team were and how gorgeous our backyard looks. Even after the work was done I’ve had questions about fertilizing, what do to with our new sod, needed help with our landscape lights after they got accidentally unhooked by our deck contractor and Joe & Irene are always happy to answer a question or help fix a problem. My husband and I cannot say enough positive things about our GVL experience and I would recommend them without any hesitation. Much to my husband’s dismay I said I’m going to spend the winter thinking about what we could do for a possible phase three!

I hired Green Valley Landscaping to expand my patio. Joe and Irene were fantastic during the planning stages. When the said the were going to do something you know they will do it. The project went flawlessly. Not only did they finish ahead of schedule but the materials used were an upgrade from the original work. We met with several landscapers to get ideas and help to transform a totally raw, unfinished new build backyard. Neither my husband nor I have green thumbs and landscaping, trees, plants etc are out of our comfort zone. After my first contact with Irene and within 10 mins of our consultation with Joe we knew we'd found the right firm to help us. Our yard and project aren't very big but that didn't matter, Joe took immense time and care in designing our space, taking into consideration light, trees, neighbours and our desire for low maintenance. There was no pressure at any time and he was also very open to doing our project in phases, both to help us manage costs and allow us to better envision the end product given we were starting with nothing. The work was scheduled promptly, Joe was onsite during the work and his team were lovely - very conscientious and meticulous about their work right down to the clean up. Our project was delivered on time and within the budget we'd been provided. Joe has also made several follow up visits to tweak a couple things and ensure everything is perfect. We made the decision to add some landscape lighting - it's fabulous - and one of Joe's team came back at 930pm the day of install to see the lighting in the dark and make adjustments. Both Joe and Irene have a way of making you feel like you're their only client and no question is stupid, they will help and advise every step of the way and are patient to explain things and bounce around ideas. I have clear watering and planting plans and Irene was a great help with my challenge to find the right hydrangeas - she was a lifesaver taking a couple panic calls from me while I was stood at a garden centre! We will embark upon phase 2 in the spring and are very much looking forward to continuing to work with these truly lovely people who are both passionate about their work and business and genuinely care about the service and product they provide.

I hired Green Valley to landscape my front yard where only grass currently existed. They came up with a nice design that fit my needs. They were very professional during the installation and left my front yard very tidy. I received instructions on how to care for the plants and when I had an additional question later on they were very helpful and quick to answer. I was very happy with the service they provided.

Green Valley Landscaping Inc. has been doing our landscaping and snow removal along with some landscaping work since we moved into our house almost 5 years ago! Service has been professional, on time and complete :) cannot recommend their services enough!

Mr. Joe Belo and his crew have proven to be reliable, caring, and knowledgeable. I have a large perennial garden that requires a great deal of time and attention. I am happy that the grass is cut properly and that the pruning is done on schedule. Mr. Belo has also given us excellent advice concerning our hardscaping project, which we greatly appreciated. Note that if you require more detailed work such as garden design and training clematis, for instance, you are best to hire a horticulturalist. Time-consuming, finicky work is beyond the purview of this solid company that provides excellent service.

I am a Location Manager, working on television commercials in Toronto. As such, we find ourselves at many different locations, each with their own challenges. It isn’t often that you meet a “dream” contractor. We feel so fortunate that we were introduced to Joe, Irene and their team at Green Valley Landscaping by a good friend. Our 45 year old backyard hadn’t been attended to in many years and the grass had gone to weed, and attracted various small animals; the landscaping was much overgrown. Our front porch stonework which was only 5 years old was shifting and grout cracking. Green Valley were very responsive to our request for a site visit and quote. Joe came and assessed our project very professionally and within days we had a very thorough quote from Irene. With the rainy summer that we were having, we were sure that our project wouldn’t start on time, but several days before the scheduled start date, we received a call that they could begin. We were going out of town for the weekend but were assured that we did not have to be on site. We came home after the weekend to an amazing transformation of our backyard … new sod, beautiful plantings, use of existing large stones, mulching … we had to re-enter the backyard to make sure we were at the same house. Honesty, creativity, hard working, warm and very responsive, we were more than pleased every step of the way. Joe never made us feel that our “smallish” project was any less important than other residential and commercial projects that he was involved with. Follow up to questions about maintenance and in general were done in a timely manner and very helpful. Any project will benefit from Green Valley’s magic touch. We hired Green Valley to help restore our front and back lawns after they were torn up by the foundation work we had done. We have had at least 3 other companies in the past work on and “maintain” the lawn whose prices went up but their quality went down. After reading many positive reviews about Green Valley on another site we decided to give them a try and we were not disappointed. They managed to transform both the front and back. Added new plants, new sod did basically turned what had become an eyesore into something that you now want to spend time in. They also do a great job of trimming the lawns and hedges and you can tell when they’ve been by as everything looks so spot on. Irene in the office is also a pleasure to deal with. Professional, knowledgeable and friendly despite the many questions we initially had and always got back to us within a day. This is not what we were used to with other contractors so we are extremely happy to have found a company that does high quality work and has great support. We look forward to a long working relationship with them.

The service received by Joe and Irene has been and continues to be impeccable. Within 24 hours of my call to Irene (who was most helpful on the phone), Joe came over to look at our lawn and provide his expertise in getting our lawn back in shape. Our lawn was in dire need of some TLC as it had been destroyed by a previous company we used. That same afternoon, we received an estimate of what it would cost to get our lawn in shape as well as a cost on regular maintenance. As we had family coming over from England, we were desperate in getting the work started. However, due to the continuous rain, timing was proving to be tight. Our garden needed a complete over haul. As a surprise, Joe and Irene had their team over early morning, prior to our family arriving, and gave the lawn a good tidy up and trimmed the bushes to an artistic form. The look on our faces when we opened our door was "priceless." Joe and Irene understood how much it meant to us to have the lawn looking respectable and went above and beyond to meet our needs. I can't thank them enough. They don't treat you like a "number." They honestly take pride in their work and care about their clients. I would highly recommend them. We have used many lawn services. Green Valley Landscaping has maintained our property for several years now (weekly maintenance, Spring and Fall clean-up) and, we couldn't be happier with the service. We were incredibly impressed with all aspects of our landscaping project. Green Valley renovated both our front and back gardens with knowledge and workmanship above our expectations. Joe's recommendation for new flowers and plants were excellent. We wanted beautiful flower that were long blooming and he provided those. We also had 2 trees, replaced, soil conditioning and cleanup. Had a great experience with Green Valley Landscaping! We hired them to replace our front, side and back lawn with a lower maintenance plant garden. The result is fantastic! It's very professional and clean looking. Our back yard was quite overgrown and looking a little rough and we kept everything except the grass, but they did a good job cleaning up the existing foliage and the new garden blends beautifully. We've had lots of compliments so far (and no more grass to cut!). Irene was very accessible and pleasant to work with and everything was done in a timely manner from start to finish (even with all the rain we had) the actual work was all done in one day! We are very happy with the work and would definitely recommend Green Valley Landscaping.

Hi. I use Green Valley Landscaping whenever I can for my home. They have been doing our landscaping for the past 3 years and I am always happy with their work. I have also used them for repairing my stone walkway and for changing my downspouts according to new municipal regulations. After completing our landscape and design 10 years ago Green Valley continues to do our weekly maintenance and it is amazing. The team is quick and professional and open to feedback. We live in a very close and tight-knit neighborhood. Our neighbors across the street have a fantastic backyard with a great deck, some big trees, and lovely gardens. As a consequence of frequent invitations to their lovely space, we let our yard languish. When we finally decided to landscape, the "winning" company was met with an overgrown, uneven dog toilet that was in dire need of grading, re-sodding, edging, and artistic vision. We contacted three landscaping companies for quotations. Two of these companies came in with quotes around the $6500 mark, which our arborist neighbor assured us was reasonable. For seasoned DIYers, this seemed a little high. Green Valley Landscaping came in with a significantly less expensive quote for the same work. Being pretty frugal, we elected to use them against the advice of our arborist friend, who suggested that their quote was low enough to make their work suspect. Thankfully, he was wrong. GVL's work was done on time and on budget, with great attention to detail, and fantastic post-installation follow-up. When some of the sod they put down died within a couple of weeks, they quickly came out and replanted without questioning our watering schedule or creating any friction. They did a great job, stood behind their work, and made us very happy customers. We will definitely use Green Valley Landscaping again in the future.

My husband and I are delighted with the work that Joe and his crew do. Five years ago, they transformed my front yard in Etobicoke to a perennial masterpiece. They did the same with the backyard including lovely stone walkways and steps. It was gorgeous and easy to care for. We also received a prize for this work. In spring of 2015 we moved to Orangeville into a century home. We had the pool removed that summer. Then this spring Joe and his crew came up and again transformed our place. They controlled the over growth of perennials, resodded the back, then planted a lovely, meditative labyrinth in our back yard. It is formed with boxwood, summer hydrangeas in the centre with a Celtic cross on a rock in the middle. This is our sanctuary. We love it here, feeling at peace, centered and grounded. Joe, Irene and the crew have been taking care of our garden for several years now. They do a great job taking care of not only our lawn but the flower beds, hedges and fruit trees. Joe is very knowledgeable professional and answers any questions we have as to how to best take care of our plants.
