Carter Crawford Design P.A.

My career began LandDesign, Inc. in Charlotte, NC. There, I worked with Brad Davis, a great friend and mentor. LandDesign had a broad range of project types and scales; I left there with considerable experience in the production of working drawings for construction projects and in master planning for large-scale land development projects. In addition to LandDesign, I have worked in the offices of both architects and civil engineers, and have learned a great deal from both experiences. For most of the time since 1990, however, I have been the president of my own small firm. The emergence in the early ‘90s of computer-aided design and drafting allowed me to compete with large firms while keeping my expenses low and fees competitive. By the first decade of the 21st century, I had developed a solid business that provided a wide range of landscape architecture and land planning services. My office produced efforts that supported the development of thousands of homes and the businesses to support them. The work included land assembly, master planning, rezoning, site and subdivision plan approval, construction document preparation, and construction administration. I look forward now to continuing my career as a landscape architect in private practice in Raleigh, North Carolina. I am looking for other creative people who want to make great places.
