Richard and Jennifer were very friendly and easy to deal with throughout the process (full bathroom renovation). Regretfully we were not treated as if we were important to them. The completed work was very satisfactory but the process was painful. Work was done when Richard could get someone to come. The tradesman who did the work was doing so as a second job. Sometimes he would call to see if work could be done on Sunday afternoon/evening. The job took a month and a half to complete. I paid by cheque in installments but never was given a receipt. I require a paid invoice for tax purposes. Since that time I have attempted to contact Richard by email, text and telephone (over twenty attempts). Richard has never responded. Soooo..... if you want a quality job done and are prepared to wait a long time for it to be completed and then to be ignored like you never existed, hire Richard and Jennifer. But I will never do so again

This was a huge project for us and Richard and Jennifer delivered on every level. Jennifer worked with us to get the design we wanted and gave us a kitchen to fit our lifestyle. The workers were considerate of our home, worked 6 days a week and always cleaned up at the end of the day. Richard was attentive to our questions and concerns and dealt with issues immediately. He was generous with adding extra work for reasonable costs. The final price was as we expected and we would highly recommend HSG consulting for any project. Richard and Jennifer make a great team!

This is the second time I've used HSG to do a major renovation. The first was back in 2009 when I had them gut 2 floors back to the studs and upgrade my century old home into a beautiful thing. Lath and plaster walls, knob and tube wiring, well you get the idea.... The 2 bathrooms were done with great attention to detail, moving a wall to accommodate a larger tub was no problem for them. The time spent with the planing was well worth it. The kitchen was totally changed with a new layout that made it so much easier to work in. Their crews were clean, polite and tidy, and always on time. Any issues (and there can be a lot with job this big) were explained in detail and a solution was always offered. The job did take a couple of weeks longer than planed but the final result was awesome. I have recommended HSG to a couple of friends and my sister and they are as pleased as I was for the work they did. My latest experience I had with HSG was no different. A main floor renovation hard wood floors installed, lots of re-wiring, an intercom and security system installed. Yes, another kitchen re-do with rich hardwood cupboards, and ceramic tiles with a wonderful pattern in the center. The lighting that was installed made every room pop, with many pot lights and wall sconces to change the color of each room. I will be buying another house next year and I will be looking to hire HSG again.

The key for me was in the design. I had a number of contractors quote, and Jennifer was the only one who provided a thought out design. It was different from all the other and she explained why she made the recommendations. Some minor and not so minor issues during build were all resolved. I have already recommended them to friends, who are happy with their work.

I contracted with Richard and Jennifer to remodel 2 bathrooms (full remodel of ensuite and partial remodel of 2nd bathroom) in August. The work was scheduled to start in late September and was completed on schedule. I LOVE the results. Jennifer designed a lovely ensuite; once we chose the granite countertop at the showroom Jennifer was invaluable in helping us select co-ordinating tiles, paint colour, etc. Richard had great ideas and was very responsive throughout the work. The workmen were very well organized and ensured there was no mess left behind at the end of the day. I have been pleased to provide a recommendation to 2 other clients who phoned to ask about our experience with HSG Consulting.

We first met Richard 5 years ago when we enlisted him to open up our main floor living space, he did an amazing job, his team was excellent. Not only did they open up the wall beautifully, they built, built inns to customize the space. There was a few other details that were added to the job. He stayed right on budget and even a few days shy of the initial time frame we were quoted. The team transformed our home into a beautiful retreat. We had a slight issue with some paint touch ups and they returned right away to fix it up. I am in a new house now and consulting with Richard on a kitchen and extension. I was super pleased with my previous experience, I am excited to work with him again. I will add photos shortly.

We initially contracted HSG to completely renovate an upstairs bathroom and went on to hire them again to update a basement bathroom and most recently HSG renovated our kitchen. We are delighted with the results. Pros: for all three projects, the respective crew showed up every day, 6 days a week until the project was finished. The crews went out of their way to minimize soiling other parts of the house and kept dust to a minimum. Construction debris was carefully bagged and removed at the end of each day. Quality of the work was excellent in all respects. The projects were completed mostly within the time frame originally proposed. Some changes we requested along the way, were reasonably priced out and completed with no hassle. Cons: The crews are mostly made up of Asians with little English spoken language skills, but what they lacked in English skills was more than made up for in their enthusiasm to satisfy our requirements.

HSG consulting did an excellent job on our bathroom renovation. The project was quite involved as it required changing the location of our shower, tub and toilet and required significant plumbing changes. HSG did a high quality job and worked and good pace completing the work as promised on schedule. Jennifer helped us select great modern colours that we would not have ordinarily selected on our own. I called HSG again to complete my basement renovation but unfortunately they were not available. Would recommend Richard and his team.

It was great working with Richard and Jennifer. Their experience really shows when it comes to Jennifer's design and Richard's field experience and project management. Really helps to make the home renovation project go smoothly.

My husband and I were pleased with this project from start to finish. It was a major overhaul of our kitchen including removal of the walls between the adjoining living room and dining room. This involved structural work in the roof, removal of all the existing kitchen plus work on the hardwood floors in the three rooms and halls. Jennifer and Richard are very careful, professional and knowledgeable. They gave us lots of support and guidance but let us make the final choices such as counter top, cabinet finish and style. They worked with the existing style and colours in the living/dining room and integrated the kitchen with it. We are very happy with the look and function of the whole space. A few months earlier HSG consulting did a bathroom renovation for us and we knew from that experience that they were the best choice for the kitchen job. The bathroom was also stripped right out and we traded a bathtub/shower for a walk-in shower. It's beautiful! We are seniors in our late 60's who live in a smallish semi in Toronto. We wanted to make the house as liveable as possible for the next decade or two in hopes of avoiding an apartment for as long as possible. I think we accomplished that goal with the help of HSG.

Richard and Jennifer redesigned our small bathroom and managed the renovation that flowed from that. The room is very stylish within that small space, and meets our needs as a retired couple. The team that undertook the renovation was professional and meticulous, and respectful of our needs and schedules.
