WHY I LIKE DESIGN
As a child, I enjoyed creative activities. When my family took road trips through the Midwest, I always brought along my sketch book. I spent hours transforming each page into my next landscape or architectual masterpiece. Growing up, I decided to develop a career dedicated to design. Out of my passion to collect the knowledge and tools of the trade, I decided to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts with a concentration in Design at Iowa State University. My very transitional style, combines a mixture of contemporary and traditional design which grew out of my hands on experience with clients and the knowledge I gained through my studies of art and design.
WHY I LIKE WORKING WITH CLIENTS
I enjoy working with clients. I am always excited getting to know a new client...their personality, style preferences, moods, how they express themselves and how they want others to see them. All of this information plays an integral part of my information gathering and provides me with ideas on how to work with them to achieve a design tailored specifically to them. Each room is a blank canvas awaiting its reveal. The transformation is always exciting... especially when my client gets just as excited as I am. I know when this happens that it is a design they will enjoy for years to come!
