My entire life has revolved around creating beauty, in any way it could be expressed. My mother was a clothing and costume designer, my father a carpenter and myself and my 3 siblings - all artists in our own right. We were always creating.. a look, a mood, a feeling. Creating in any way we could in order to inspire ourselves and others. That hunger for creating led me to my passion for interior design.
My approach to design is that I believe our space and surroundings greatly influence our state of mind on a subconscious level. Everything is made up of energy, and when we don't feel at ease or inspired in our space - cluttered rooms, empty spaces or uninspiring decor can affect our personal energy and therefore reflect in our outer world as well. Your home should reflect who you are, your culture, things you love, your personal style... It should be a space that truly inspires you every day. When you feel inspired, you take that into the world and affect others.
Hiring an interior designer can feel intimidating. People often worry they don't have the budget and feel it's only something people with money can do. I don't believe that's true. I grew up in home where there wasn't much to go around for all of us, so we had to make use of what we had, re-use, refinish or make something new again. I love bringing this into my work as a designer and it allows me to work with clients on any budget.
As your designer, I will oversee all project phases from conceptualization to color schemes and design concepts; creating mood boards and renderings of your space, selecting finishes and furniture to contractor management. I will oversee your project as it comes to life and will style your home to perfection. I'm deeply involved in every stage of the design process and have a passion and care for the results. I take tremendous pride in my art and care deeply about the desires of my clients. I believe your space should be a collaboration that we create together. It would be my pleasure and honor to design your home and truly make it your happy space!
