Maria Adams Designs specializes in CLASSIC, MODERN LIVING with a bit of Southern charm by creating luxurious spaces tailored to the family-friendly home. She understands that you want your home to look AND feel amazing while being highly functional for your daily needs. Maria takes the time to truly listen to your needs, to fully understand your lifestyle, and to intuitively tap into your vision. She takes your wishes, needs, budget and timeline and transforms your house into a home that exceeds your expectations. During the design and implementation phase, Maria consistently communicates with you so that you are completely aware of every aspect of your job. She maintains very high standards for her own work as well as the resources and contractors that she specifies for your project. Maria is very respectful of your budget and timeline and because of her win-win philosophy, she offers Value-based flat fees for the majority of projects. Maria prides herself on being trustworthy, professional and ethical while developing strong relationships with her clients. Although the majority of her clients are local to North Carolina, she is available for travel anywhere in the USA.

When we purchased our new home, we did our research when it came to choosing a designer. Maria's website showed us many examples of projects completed by her. She came out and met with us, asked about lifestyle, and toured our home to see what made us comfortable. She put together a plan and presented it to us. We are absolutely thrilled with the results. Maria was so happy to answer any questions that we had promptly. She has been a pleasure to work with. She stayed in our timeframe and, most importantly, in our budget. We would recommend Maria Adams Designs to everyone. We look forward to working with Maria again for our next project. She is simply the best!

Piedmont Personal Builders, LLC is a custom home building company working throughout the Piedmont Triad area of Central North Carolina. We use Maria's services on almost every project as a resource to our customers in assisting them in selecting their products, materials, patterns, finishes, and colors for their new homes. Maria works well with our homebuyers, offering thoughtful suggestions and ideas to help them achieve the look they want in their new homes. She does not try to design the home for herself, but rather, assists the homebuyer in achieving their own goals and allowing the homebuyer's personality to come through in the final design. She is great with color, and has a gift for being able to foresee in advance what it will all look like when it is completed, giving our homebuyers confidence that everything will come together in a harmonious final product. Making selections for a new home is a daunting task for most people. So she literally takes the fear out making selections for our customers. We recommend her highly.

I really enjoyed working with Maria. Maria designed my master bedroom, living room and breakfast room. I was amazed that after one meeting, Maria was able to prepare a design which matched my style. She really took the time to listen to my vision. Maria was also very conscious of my budget and worked to stay within the budget. I would not hesitate to work with Maria again. By the way, I discovered Maria on Houzz.

It was a distinct pleasure to work with Maria updating my family room and dining room. She understood my personal style and gently invited me to consider some new approaches to decorating my spaces. I LOVE my new look! It's still me, but current! One thing she did really well is to incorporate the pieces that were special to me. I really appreciated the respect she showed me in that. I highly recommend Maria and I plan to contact her soon to continue the project in my living room.

I worked with Maria over a period of about 3 months. Maria is an extremely efficient, professional and well - organized individual. She is also very creative and has a very good eye when bringing decor together. In addition I found her to be very responsive as needs arose during the project as well as after the fact. She is a delight to work with.

Maria Adams did a complete design plan for our new combined kitchen/den space. We wanted something we could implement over time since we were unable to complete the entire project at once. I also wanted her help because I was so overwhelmed by all the choices and just couldn't visualize how the space should look. After spending some time with me, asking questions, measuring, and taking pictures of the space, she left and a couple weeks later brought back a fabulous plan that captured my style so well I couldn't believe it! I loved every item she chose, and some of them, like the back splash tile, were things I would never have picked myself but have become my favorite features in the room. We ended up using our own contractor for much of the work but she recommended sources for all the labor and all the products, such as cabinets and flooring, and the ones we used worked out well. I highly recommend her!

We hired Maria at IDS to design a bathroom and laundry closet that would allow us to have have all services on the main floor of our house. Maria was very attentive to our needs and our tastes. The resulting design solved so many problems for us and it looks gorgeous. We have shown it to many people and everyone agrees that it is wonderful. The best endorsement came from one of the women who clean our house. We suspect that she has seen many bathrooms, but she lit up when she saw ours. Maria's clear insight and management of the project was invaluable.

Maria did an amazing job to help make our Great Room come alive with great style! After several failed attempts to work with other decorators, I had nearly given up on finding a design partner. She has created a beautiful, elegant, but very inviting room for our family and guests. Besides the design, Maria shopped for me, and with me, to find what was needed in furnishings, painting, lighting and accessories…no detail was left undone. Maria has design expertise, creativity and above all, is a great listener. I am excited to be starting another project with her and highly recommend her services.

Maria Adams, chief designer with IDS by Maria, has been the designer for our master bedroom, upstairs bath, upstairs bedroom, kitchen (complete renovation), laundry room, and living and dining rooms.. She did a fantastic job, and we are thrilled with the results. Maria is always conscious of the budget, which is established up front. She will make the necessary changes to stay within that budget, which is much appreciated. Also important is that Maria listens to the clients' preferences, needs and requests and incorporates these into her plans. All in all we had a wonderful experience with Maia and would highly recommend her.

Maria gave me advice on furniture arrangement, colors, area rugs and overhead light fixtures. I am on a very tight budget and was unable to hire her for as much time as I would have liked.
