I had a part (thermocouple) go bad on my gas fireplace and this was the only place in the city who would talk to me about parts and didn’t try to sell me on a whole new setup. Not only that, but the person on the phone explained that it wasn’t necessarily a one size fits all application and encouraged me to bring in the old piece. $25 later I have a working fireplace again.

THE WORST!!!!!! Do not spend any money with these people ever. They have the worst customer service I have experienced. I spent over 5 thousand dollars to get a new gas insert. They took forever to install it, when they did install they didn't have a fan so had to come back for a second install. Then the thing worked for a month or two and then stopped working. Once it stopped working in the middle of winter they had no urgency to come fix it at all. I cant believe that businesses think they can still get away with providing this terrible level of customer service in this day and age. They dont care about you at all once they have your money. They are so excited and nice when they are trying to sell you something, but once they have your money they don't car about you at all. Save yourself the time and grief and shop ANYWHERE but here

McAdams Remodeling & Design

Jim and his group at Sutter Home & Hearth have done great work for us on numerous remodeling projects ranging from modest inserts to whole new fireplaces. They always have up to date equipment and the know how to help us give our clients great results. Their installers are on time and if there are any issues Sutter schedules warranty techs to follow through. High marks for a great organization!

I have engaged Sutter Home for a quote to purchase and install either a new wood burning stove insert or free-standing stove. The estimator came out to my home (which involved ferry travel) as promised and did a very thorough job preparing the estimate. I would definitely recommend them for fireplace needs.
