courtyard/patio
possible idea for walk down from patio to grass. flanked by dwarf trees that don't grown that big?
address post with lighting
metal cut out address on brick box
lilac trees on standard
visual
finial concrete balls on brick pillars driveway
brick wall w concrete cap
love how the small out house (not outhouse) can be come a feature element. Maybe the shed replacement should be moved forward into view down the path vs. tucked into the corner? example of how slabs in grass can look traditional
Good lighting! this is for lighting only - maybe a bit overdone. Trees and lights in steps
overall visual
trim the driveway in a brick boarder. prefer concrete to pavement How much is too much brick? Does adding brick elements draw the brick portion of house out (in a good way)? Lots of brick past the front door...should that be more visible?
Illustrates the idea of stepping up to the threshold's level at the driveway rather than at the front porch. Is that a plus?
brick stairs down to lawn
black is interesting. Is that a giant hydrangea in the background?
perhaps trained planting on the large wall above the garbage cans
visual
New entrance to house - like rectangle stone path - but light grey & different grout. Swap with uniform pattern/not haphazard interesting how path zig zags the courtyard is more conceptual with the curved wall
one trellis option w square posts/not round. slightly more open grid than this. no center light. shall we have mounted heaters or on stands?
I don't like this one, but it is a good example of a thought I have. Should we raise the walk way to the door height sooner, say nearer the driveway? Would this make the courtyard see bigger given the limited space b/c there would not be a height transition in the middle of it?
herringbone brick w concrete?
fence/gate.
shed path lined w brick to keep gravel contained
rectangle square alternating
I like the shape of the section t the right
wall and door. not liking the brick circles on patio. for front entry small circular or square wall for entry statemen. no table but a tree on standard in nice pot?
front entry w water feature or pot
simple black (metal for durability?) trellis over patio. Fritz may not like
