Neolith Estatuario: you can find Neolith surfaces in 3, 6, 12 and 20 mm. Depending on the application fo the table you can use one or another thickness. Specifically for countertops, the slabs thicknesses used are 12 or 20 mm. What you can see in the picture is a manufactured edges made by marblers. You can see more examples in kitchens countertops in our website. http://www.neolith.com/en/projects/kitchensWe're not familiar with LAMINAM in particular, so can’t speak to that directly. This counter is Neolith. For this project, the client wanted to use the polished material, and at first the supplier wouldn’t even sell it to her because they were having a hard time moving the slabs without them breaking. Based on that, we would agree that the fabricator should have experience with it. It is definitely different than granite and quartz! You cannot have anything other than a square edge because the pattern is only on the surface- once you cut the edge and polish it the pattern is gone. There are only so many patterns available with the Neolith brand so if your eye is good at picking up pattern repeats it might not be a good option. We spent time with the client figuring out where to c...

poindexter wrote: railing - Hello, I have a family/livingroom combined with the livingroom one step below the familyroom. can this railing be made to seperate the two rooms. I need 9ft on each side with a 5ft opening in the middle. My contractor is out of town and I am not sure of the measurements but if possible, please let me know if what I want is possible and the price. Thank you very much. Cynthia Taylor-Luce Hello, I think you were thinking that your inquiry went to the company that made the railings but this photo was posted by the artist who did the wall faux finishing in this house. It looks like someone built this house and the artist, Doni Flanigan, was hired to do all sorts of wonderful paint features (click 'More Info' under the photo and see the links to his other photos). I will answer your question about the railing however. These projects are always custom made to fit the space and to be in the exact style the customer specifies. They are not something that's pre-made or available at such and such a price per foot. In order to get a ballpark price, you'd need to find a company in your area who makes high quality ironwork. They would come out to your house and...

Counter TOP: Spinnaker Development This is a mitered edge detail, 2 1/4". If your slab is large enough to cover the entire island there shouldn't be any issues with seams. There will be a larger caulking joint where the edge of the counter meets the apron but other than that this shouldn't be too difficult.
