brick floor for sunroom?
stone above window is to die for - mqybe smaller scale...
non-unform stones in stone work
fireplace between dining and family room . would need to make stone area smaller and add built-ins...
how cool are those support columns!
someplace near the kitchen to put a home org space
love the simple, arched windows - maybe one set looking out with one curve on the ceiling
windows!
Bunk beds in same room as queen-szed bed. But where oes al the luggage go? Drawers under the bunk beds?
seating
using double height space, curved edge of room
plain, large window
very cool wall of windows
for the areas that have a 3-4 foot overhang, using the above flat roof approach with adding a transom on top... The covered porch areas do not have to be all one roof or all the same height - as long as they overlap...
stucco and metal windows...with wood for variety...
dining room at different level to great room, giving a bit of separation
two story more modern exterior finishes
layout
large windows
window over door
exterior column detail
separation between dining/living
relatively flat roofs against hillside
Separation of living/dining while remaining open
room separation
Are these they kinds of overhangs Scott was thinking of? Will these just collect snow?
Used see through (to the outside!) cabinets which allow for both storage and extra light into the room.
Adding mirrors behind the headboard allows for the view to be seen from both sides of the room
What about adding cement paneling on angles (as shown here) as alternative to clap board siding, and then complete remaining areas with stucco?
Love the paneled end - how center is offset compared to side panels...
Dryvit stucco - if it works in MN, it will in VT
Two things: Love how window pops out of roof; also love how they created a window panel (right side of house) which breaks up the stucco.
traditional peaked roof, but changed interior to very dramatic room.
Covered deck; detail on chimney
Love the modern shape of the stucco chimney; add tile or stone detail and it would be very dramatic.
Upstairs - could we make double bunks (built in) and then create two baths in enlarged bathroom space?
example of break line in stucco
using different colors to break up look of stucco home
green stucco with brown trim
Overhangs around windows extending prairie look
Love the ceiling and work and continuation of prairie style around fireplace. Just a big too much detailing there (with ornate clock). Like columns of stone, with wood band around room area.
Used 4 posts for supports, but banded them together
like the vertical bands that go up the left side, crossed by the horizontal mid-roof overhang on left side of house.
