This kitchen is similar to the one I have in my house in Germany. But we added color with our backsplash tiles and barstools. Please note, I do not want open shelves. They will only get dusty, and I won’t be there to dust them.

Couches with this type of armrest are pretty but uncomfortable for napping.

I know I don’t have room for such a large seating area, but it is nice. My husband loves to take an afternoon nap when he is on vacation. So an outdoor couch would be nice. However, when people are at the lake everyone wants to look out on the lake.

I do not like metal chairs. They are cold and uncomfortable.

We also have these types of doors at our house in Germany which open up to the terrace. I like the nice long table so that there is room for everyone.
