Fans and how to use them in indoor and outdoor spaces
Color of cabinets, use of mosaic tiles, not for kitchen but for wetzone shower. Clever storage ideas such as broom closet hidden in refrigerator surround. Like the mix of brass, green and white.
Currently have bubbler and would like some sort of bird attracting water feature in area between adu and lawn area
Need bird friendly water feature near adu
mix of grasses, sedums, coneflower or other daisy types, perhaps add geranium, daylily, alliums
Cyrus wants a firepit. Kathy likes poured in place slabs. May be necessary to have a solution like this if the goal is to remove existing decks and get on grade seating areas which are shaded for garden.
Overall composition, perhaps for transitional space between adu and lawn area
Mix of cone flower and perovskia and grasses
Love serviceberries, perhaps underplanted with hardy geranium.
poured in place slab with ground cover (wooly thyme?) and appropriate plantings. Could be way to circumnavigate addition.
love gray, bright green, alliums, perhaps, grasses lavender and salvia mixed in. Nice mix of colors and textures.
mix of salvia, hardy geranium, flowering shrub, grasses, perhaps add euonymus (green spire or variegated) for evergreen shrub balance, hedges.
Even though this facade is essentially flat, it is still interesting. How to do something visually interesting with exterior of Burr Court if incorporate new siding and get rid of existing fake rock.
idea for shading; breaking up large facade to make it more interesting.
Like different materials to update exterior of 2675 Burr Court. Need to figure out what to do with fake stone pillar & siding, cheap existing siding. Color choice is not good, but mix of materials is appealing.
Simple gate to streetside entry to addition for Kathy & David.
Large flat facade facing street needs breaking up visually. How feasible are vine supporting structures like these?
Another way to shield additon from neighbors. Wood does not do well in Reno; metal is probably better.
Possible way to screen skyline neighbors and provide privacy to adu. Something like this might also deflect sound from skyline if use acoustical material
Another possibility for shielding addition from neighbors.
alcove that can be adapted to whichever area has sufficient space which is dependent on setback requirements
possible way to create shaded seating and to provide privacy for addition from neighboring properties
way to provide courtyard and shade for addition and existing house
possible door solution for areas without exterior windows such as David's room, wc, wet room
Like the color combination in the shower. Don't need a rain shower head
color combination of light wood and green tile; curbless shower
lots of the ideas regarding shower; vanity; although wet room in adu only needs one sink. minimalist choice. porcelain tile type for shower
possible ADA design for curbless shower, ADA compliant vanity. do not particularly like white/gray scheme
color palette is warmer than most I see using gray tones. I prefer it. Porcelain tiles were used here.
larger format tile except in shower where need smaller tiles to improve traction.
good tips about ada compliant bath, laundry
curbless shower, lower niche near bench
Really like the mix of materials in the shower. Don't need plant containers.
Like color of tiles as well as horizontal orientation
Think this feeling is good for mudroom/street entry for addition which incorporates washer & dryer as well as bench and way to hang up coats, dog leashes.
Don't want to see minisplits. Like idea of creating ventilation between spaces by having open spaces above closet areas which have a type of screen to hide mechanical things such as minisplits.
don't want clothes drawers in main bedroom space. best to have some kind of closet like this one where all clothing stored behind closed doors; perhaps barn style.
pull out table hidden in "drawer" above double door cabinets
If pull out can be seamlessly integrated to single wall kitchen, could help with food prep.
Galley design kitchen. No island in addition
Above sink could have some shelving which is backlit which could exhibit some nice glass vases.
Use of reflective surface behind sink in kitchen since counters in single wall kitchen face a solid wall.
Maximize pantry space for single wall kitchen.
way to hide TV
need lighting for bowls, decorative items in shelves
Is it possible to combine the mudroom with David's office?
