It is not frequent, that one comes across a client who is willing to experiment with a space they had got to make their dream house. Lady of the house, being an artist in her own right, was hint enough that this residential interior design project is going to be a riot of different hues. Unlike most residences which use tones of white/offwhite as the base of their colour palette, the base colour conceptualised for this home was grey- not a half hearted tint of grey but bold, deep and diverse tones of grey. Each space has its own brighter colours sitting together with the base colour- sometimes contrasting with it, sometimes complementing it. The interesting aspect of the concept is the smooth manner in which the different hues, often unrelated still sit together in the same space, at the same time defining each space distinctly from others. The 4 BHK house provides for a family lounge, formal seating space and dining area in the hall. three of the bedrooms are used by the family and the fourth one is used as the guest room.
