Hive HomeBeach bungalow in Manhattan Beach designed by Hive LA Home. Well-traveled clients wanted a cheerful guest room that could double as a quiet workspace. Custom textile window coverings and collected bedding gives a colorful twist. In the living room a mid century bookcase and eclectic fabrics add layers to more traditional furniture pieces. A small home office gets a masculine and surfy vibe with grasscloth wallpaper and funky custom embroidered roman shades.

UserDecorist customer Jessica came to us with an assignment that our designer Chrissy couldn't wait to tackle: help me re-invent my living room channeling Emily Henderson and a bit of Madmen, and mixing colors, patterns and styles into one cohesive look.
Jessica already had her eye on a few pieces when she bought her Decorist makeover: the sophisticated, tufted West Elm Ainslie sofa and the Crate & Barrel Arietta chair, which Chrissy recommended upholstering in a luxurious blue velvet. Chrissy worked around a palette of three colors: blues, greens and purples, layering in gold-finished metals and adding textures through the plush Moroccan-inspired rug, green leather pouf and patterned silk purple pillow. She also helped Jessica re-think her living room layout, moving the placement of the sofa to another wall to create a more open feeling.

Cynthia B. Wilson Interior Design I began working with the owners of this house in 2013. We started with the living and dining rooms. No new furniture was purchased, but the rooms transformed when we changed the wall and ceiling colors, added lighting and light fixtures, rearranged artwork, rugs and furniture. We softened the windows and added privacy with very simple linen Roman blinds. We used the same linen to slipcover the sofa.
Early in 2015, we tackled the most difficult room. The relatively small family room has disproportionately high ceilings. We worked to minimize the "elevator shaft" feeling of the room by replacing the previously "wimpy" mantel, surround and hearth with a design and combination of materials that stand up to the height of the room. In addition to treating the two sets of windows stacked at ground level and again at 8' as one tall window, we painted the ceiling chocolate brown which is reflected at floor level by the new rug (Dash and Albert - Nigel) and hearth stone. The chocolate brown ceiling extends into the foyer where we hung Circa Lighting's phenomenal "Kate" lantern.

Ivywell Interiors | BristolWe created a contemporary living room with pops of colour and touches of gold to enhance the feel of the room but keep the scheme fairly minimalist. The made to order roman blinds feature an African-inspired fabric that complements the artwork the owner sourced in her time in Tanzania.

Изначально у дивана подразумевалось сделать большой ковер, но из-за большого количества проб, подбор ковра затянулся на большой срок. Однако привезенный дизайнером ковер для фотосъемки настолько вписался в общую картину именно за счет своей текстуры, что было желание непременно оставить такой необычный элемент.
Сама комната сочетает яркие и бежевые тона, однако зона кабинета отделена цветовым решением, она в более темных деревянных текстурах. Насыщенный коричневый оттенок пола и потолка отделяет контрастом данную зону и соответствует вкусам хозяина. Рабочее место отгородили прозрачным резным стеллажом. А в дополнение напротив письменного стола стоит еще один стеллаж индивидуального исполнения из глубокого темного дерева, в котором много секций под документы и книги. Зону над компьютером хорошо освещает подвесной светильник, который, как и почти все освещение в доме, соответствует современному стилю.
