Fox InteriorsThis narrow galley style primary bathroom was opened up by eliminating a wall between the toilet and vanity zones, enlarging the vanity counter space, and expanding the shower into dead space between the existing shower and the exterior wall.
Now the space is the relaxing haven they'd hoped for for years.
The warm, modern palette features soft green cabinetry, sage green ceramic tile with a high variation glaze and a fun accent tile with gold and silver tones in the shower niche that ties together the brass and brushed nickel fixtures and accessories, and a herringbone wood-look tile flooring that anchors the space with warmth.
Wood accents are repeated in the softly curved mirror frame, the unique ash wood grab bars, and the bench in the shower.
Quartz counters and shower elements are easy to mantain and provide a neutral break in the palette.
The sliding shower door system allows for easy access without a door swing bumping into the toilet seat.
The closet across from the vanity was updated with a pocket door, eliminating the previous space stealing small swinging doors.

Pearl RemodelingWe turned this 1954 Hermosa beachfront home's master bathroom into a modern nautical bathroom. The bathroom is a perfect square and measures 7" 6'. The master bathroom had a red/black shower, the toilet took up half of the space, and there was no vanity. We relocated the shower closer to the window and added more space for the shower enclosure with a low-bearing wall, and two custom shower niches. The toilet is now located closer to the entryway with the new shower ventilation system and recessed lights above. The beautiful shaker vanity has a luminous white marble countertop and a blue glass sink bowl. The large built-in LED mirror sits above the vanity along with a set of four glass wall mount vanity lights. We kept the beautiful wood ceiling and revived its beautiful dark brown finish.

An opened up and expanded shower, trading in a dated tub for a sleek free standing tub, and adding new floor tile, wall tile, and tile backsplash brought this bathroom back to life!
Phoenix Home RemodelingWe are so happy to have had the opportunity to take care of Diana & Todd's master bathroom renovation. Everything was removed and we started from scratch.
The homeowners were looking to have more space and didn't need the bathtub anymore, so it was removed and we created a custom shower with a dry-off area.
We also removed and closed off one of the windows to allow the shower to be longer, improves aesthetics, and provide more privacy.
The new shower includes a pony wall with a long wall niche on it and new frameless tempered glass with a door. Cala Lenci Polished 12X24" Porcelain from Arizona Tile was used for the shower wall, and White Marble Flat 12x12" Mesh for the floor and the wall niche.
They chose Icon Silver Matte 12x24" Porcelain Tile for the master bathroom and water closet flooring.
A new 72” premade vanity was installed, with backsplash tile around the vanity top. Also, 2 new storage mirrors were placed to provide the necessary storage.
We replaced the vanity lights for 2 Kichler Brinley 3 Light 24" Wide Bathroom Light and installed 2 new faucets.
The vanity was shorter to provide more space for the dry-off area, which included moving the electrical for the vanity lights and plumbing for the sinks and faucets.
Jordan Design-Build GroupWe expanded the owner's suite bathroom by a few feet to accommodate a double vanity. Hexagon tile in a soothing shade of jade green adds eye-catching character to this spa-like bathroom. Modern matte black fixtures provide just the right contrast against the green tile and warm wood vanity to complete the design.

Guthrie Kitchen and Bath Plus LLCThis contemporary bath design in Springfield is a relaxing retreat with a large shower, freestanding tub, and soothing color scheme. The custom alcove shower enclosure includes a Delta showerhead, recessed storage niche with glass shelves, and built-in shower bench. Stunning green glass wall tile from Lia turns this shower into an eye catching focal point. The American Standard freestanding bathtub pairs beautifully with an American Standard floor mounted tub filler faucet. The bathroom vanity is a Medallion Cabinetry white shaker style wall-mounted cabinet, which adds to the spa style atmosphere of this bathroom remodel. The vanity includes two Miseno rectangular undermount sinks with Miseno single lever faucets. The cabinetry is accented by Richelieu polished chrome hardware, as well as two round mirrors and vanity lights. KSDesigns LLCThis guest bath has a light and airy feel with an organic element and pop of color. The custom vanity is in a midtown jade aqua-green PPG paint Holy Glen. It provides ample storage while giving contrast to the white and brass elements. A playful use of mixed metal finishes gives the bathroom an up-dated look. The 3 light sconce is gold and black with glass globes that tie the gold cross handle plumbing fixtures and matte black hardware and bathroom accessories together. The quartz countertop has gold veining that adds additional warmth to the space. The acacia wood framed mirror with a natural interior edge gives the bathroom an organic warm feel that carries into the curb-less shower through the use of warn toned river rock. White subway tile in an offset pattern is used on all three walls in the shower and carried over to the vanity backsplash. The shower has a tall niche with quartz shelves providing lots of space for storing shower necessities. The river rock from the shower floor is carried to the back of the niche to add visual interest to the white subway shower wall as well as a black Schluter edge detail. The shower has a frameless glass rolling shower door with matte black hardware to give the this smaller bathroom an open feel and allow the natural light in. There is a gold handheld shower fixture with a cross handle detail that looks amazing against the white subway tile wall. The white Sherwin Williams Snowbound walls are the perfect backdrop to showcase the design elements of the bathroom.

Kathleen JennisonAn Arts & Crafts Bungalow is one of my favorite styles of homes. We have quite a few of them in our Stockton Mid-Town area. And when C&L called us to help them remodel their 1923 American Bungalow, I was beyond thrilled.
As per usual, when we get a new inquiry, we quickly Google the project location while we are talking to you on the phone. My excitement escalated when I saw the Google Earth Image of the sweet Sage Green bungalow in Mid-Town Stockton. "Yes, we would be interested in working with you," I said trying to keep my cool.
But what made it even better was meeting C&L and touring their home, because they are the nicest young couple, eager to make their home period perfect. Unfortunately, it had been slightly molested by some bad house-flippers, and we needed to bring the bathroom back to it "roots."
We knew we had to banish the hideous brown tile and cheap vanity quickly. But C&L complained about the condensation problems and the constant fight with mold. This immediately told me that improper remodeling had occurred and we needed to remedy that right away.
The Before: Frustrations with a Botched Remodel
The bathroom needed to be brought back to period appropriate design with all the functionality of a modern bathroom. We thought of things like marble countertop, white mosaic floor tiles, white subway tile, board and batten molding, and of course a fabulous wallpaper.
This small (and only) bathroom on a tight budget required a little bit of design sleuthing to figure out how we could get the proper look and feel. Our goal was to determine where to splurge and where to economize and how to complete the remodel as quickly as possible because C&L would have to move out while construction was going on.
The Process: Hard Work to Remedy Design and Function
During our initial design study, (which included 2 hours in the owners’ home), we noticed framed images of William Morris Arts and Crafts textile patterns and knew this would be our design inspiration. We presented C&L with three options and they quickly selected the Pimpernel Design Concept.
We had originally selected the Black and Olive colors with a black vanity, mirror, and black and white floor tile. C&L liked it but weren’t quite sure about the black, We went back to the drawing board and decided the William & Co Pimpernel Wallpaper in Bayleaf and Manilla color with a softer gray painted vanity and mirror and white floor tile was more to their liking.
After the Design Concept was approved, we went to work securing the building permit, procuring all the elements, and scheduling our trusted tradesmen to perform the work.
We did uncover some shoddy work by the flippers such as live electrical wires hidden behind the wall, plumbing venting cut-off and buried in the walls (hence the constant dampness), the tub barely balancing on two fence boards across the floor joist, and no insulation on the exterior wall.
All of the previous blunders were fixed and the bathroom put back to its previous glory. We could feel the house thanking us for making it pretty again.
The After Reveal: Cohesive Design Decisions
We selected a simple white subway tile for the tub/shower. This is always classic and in keeping with the style of the house.
We selected a pre-fab vanity and mirror, but they look rich with the quartz countertop. There is much more storage in this small vanity than you would think.
The Transformation: A Period Perfect Refresh
We began the remodel just as the pandemic reared and stay-in-place orders went into effect. As C&L were already moved out and living with relatives, we got the go-ahead from city officials to get the work done (after all, how can you shelter in place without a bathroom?).
All our tradesmen were scheduled to work so that only one crew was on the job site at a time. We stayed on the original schedule with only a one week delay.
The end result is the sweetest little bathroom I've ever seen (and I can't wait to start work on C&L's kitchen next).
