Amelia Cabinet CompanyA view of the refrigerator, built in with custom side panels to hide it's great depth for maximum storage! To the left, a distressed and stained oak hutch and small seating area for more socializing! Benjamin Moore Silver Sage shaker cabinets, featuring GE black slate appliances, and wide rough-sawn oak flooring.
The Renowned GroupThese are the new kitchen cabinets with shaker style doors and drawers. The sink is a farmhouse style with an apron.
For the backsplash we used a MSI Surfaces’ Subway Gray Glossy Inverted Ceramic Beveled Tile. The foggy gray tone that is accentuated by the unique indentation in the tile. The owners choose these tiles for classic and timeless backdrop in their kitchen.
The kitchen hardwood flooring was sanded and refinished. The island and Kitchen cabinets were designed, built, and installed by renowned Cabinetry. The windows are new replacement windows from Milgard windows.

TaLord Interior DesignThe kitchen in this 1920's home was gutted and redesigned to include an island. Architectural changes I proposed were a new, larger window over the relocated sink and the relocation of the access to the basement. The L-shaped kitchen now has more storage and longer surfaces. There was just adequate room for the contrasting green island with seating on the end portion. Craftsman and Industrial elements add unique touches to the space. Simple white Shaker cabinetry allow the drama of the black quartz top, black appliances and forest green subway tile to take center-stage! Luckily, the original wood floors were patched and usable. New light fixtures and floor cloth add to the period details that make this kitchen a winner!

Alair Homes PlanoWe revamped this client's kitchen, dining area, pantry and laundry room. The homeowners cook a lot and they like to entertain, so they wanted a cleaner, more open feel. The kitchen felt cluttered, the sink was not convenient, they wanted a bar area, more outlets, smooth flooring and more lighting! We removed all existing finishes and took it down to drywall and the concrete slab and started over. We moved the sink out of the corner, installed ceiling height cabinetry giving them additional storage and all new Vicostone Graphite countertops with a contrasting Summer Drought 2"x8" glass backsplash. The water heater that was originally located between the laundry room and the pantry was moved outside, allowing for more kitchen space. Also, the footprint of the original walk-in laundry room was decreased to a laundry closet with bi-fold doors, allowing for even more kitchen space. Gaining the additional square footage in the kitchen allowed for a 6 1/2' island. The sink was moved to the longer side of the kitchen and a new window was added above the new sink, Recessed lights were added, along with a new light fixture above the kitchen table instantly brightening up this space. New Aberdeen wood floors was laid in the kitchen with new tile in the laundry room. To finish it off, we replaced the cooktop with a smooth electric cooktop and the clients are ready to entertain!

Craftsman Design and RenovationThe original kitchen was disjointed and lacked connection to the home and its history. The remodel opened the room to other areas of the home by incorporating an unused breakfast nook and enclosed porch to create a spacious new kitchen. It features stunning soapstone counters and range splash, era appropriate subway tiles, and hand crafted floating shelves. Ceasarstone on the island creates a durable, hardworking surface for prep work. A black Blue Star range anchors the space while custom inset fir cabinets wrap the walls and provide ample storage. Great care was given in restoring and recreating historic details for this charming Foursquare kitchen.

Kitchen SaverThis cherry wood kitchen hearkens back to the Arts and Crafts era, with its rustic simplicity and elegant attention to craftsmanship. The cabinets have a Washington cherry stain and sable glaze on Madison style recessed-panel doors, and the contrasting island has a dark espresso stain on the Fairhaven style recessed panel doors. The completing elements are juniper golden granite countertops and brushed nickel hardware.

Side by Side Interiors LLCThis small 1910 bungalow was long overdue for an update. The goal was to lighten everything up without sacrificing the original architecture. Iridescent subway tile, lighted reeded glass, and white cabinets help to bring sparkle to a space with little natural light. I designed the custom made cabinets with inset doors and curvy shaped toe kicks as a nod to the arts and crafts period. It's all topped off with black hardware, countertops and lighting to create contrast and drama. The result is an up-to-date space ready for entertaining!

Smithwood Builders Inc.With two teen daughters, a one bathroom house isn’t going to cut it. In order to keep the peace, our clients tore down an existing house in Richmond, BC to build a dream home suitable for a growing family. The plan. To keep the business on the main floor, complete with gym and media room, and have the bedrooms on the upper floor to retreat to for moments of tranquility. Designed in an Arts and Crafts manner, the home’s facade and interior impeccably flow together. Most of the rooms have craftsman style custom millwork designed for continuity. The highlight of the main floor is the dining room with a ridge skylight where ship-lap and exposed beams are used as finishing touches. Large windows were installed throughout to maximize light and two covered outdoor patios built for extra square footage. The kitchen overlooks the great room and comes with a separate wok kitchen. You can never have too many kitchens! The upper floor was designed with a Jack and Jill bathroom for the girls and a fourth bedroom with en-suite for one of them to move to when the need presents itself. Mom and dad thought things through and kept their master bedroom and en-suite on the opposite side of the floor. With such a well thought out floor plan, this home is sure to please for years to come.

Susan Brook InteriorsThe kitchen was totally gutted and remodeled, the existing floor plan did not work so this small kitchen is now compact with great storage. The 2 large cupboards either side of the refrigerator are roll out pantry doors. The wood is quarter sawn white oak with custom detailing cut into the face of the doors, the crown molding was a custom design incorporating a black band of laminate.
