Full refurbishment and extension project of a ground-floor garden apartment in West Hampstead. As we were appointed by the homeowner to oversee the overhaul of their home we could not help but be amazed by the immense potential this 2 bedroom apartment holds. Overlooking a lush and what is by London standards an expansive garden, this immediately becomes the cornerstone feature of the home and the project. The goal is very much to maximise the engagement with the green space, bring the outside in and enable the complete opening up of the full-height glazing for those glorious sunny London days. Internally, a carefully selected palette of natural and tactile materials of natural wood, lime wash paint and travertine stone completes a well-rounded London dream home.
