LWB Design Landscape ArchitectureIt was a pleasure and a privilege to work with the owners of this custom home while it was still under construction. The early planning allowed LWB to design the topographic features of the site to fit into the amenities that the clients desired such as an organically shaped swimming pool, a spa, planting, etc. The extreme grades in the backyard created an opportunity to place the spa overlooking the pool. The unique grading situation also allowed the pool utilities to be built underneath the lawn in a vented room, hidden from view. Waterfalls in the pool and a water wall help to create a relaxing experience in the homeowner's backyard.
This Project was awarded with a coveted Grand Award in Residential Installation $50,001 & Over by the Ohio Nursery & Landscape Association.
Partridge Fine Landscapes Ltd.Rustic elegance greets you at each point in this design. The existing deck has been extended to the pool, enhancing the natural balance of the design. The pool incorporates a shelf/tanning deck that melds with the rock features. A waterfall cascades softly into the spa which is tucked away in an expertly crafted grotto. Additionally, a pergola, boardwalk, and a variety of plants create natural harmony with the railway home resulting in a calming, casual aesthetic that reflect the homeowner's individual tastes.

Earthscape - Landscape Design & BuildThe main intent with this project was to create a backyard pool space for living and entertaining, while preserving and complementing the picturesque setting. The pool was centered with the existing living room windows of the house. This vantage point offers spectacular views especially in the evening as you look out over the pool and golf course to the sunset in the distance.
The timber arbors help define the space and provide some scale while framing the view from the pool to the golf course in the backdrop.
There are multiple wall features that tie in with the masonry on the pool house and columns for the timber features. The wall along the deep end of the pool is equipped with 3 water weirs, which provide a nice accent and white noise. The use of the walls, along with gardens and the timber features shape the space and create a private feel without obscuring the views.
The custom pool house is fully equipped with a kitchen, bar, multiple change rooms, utility room, and an open sitting area with a natural gas fire table. This area has sufficient room to entertain large groups of friends and family.
THE POOL COMPANY CONSTRUCTIONA freeform swimming pool tucked away in a wooded area that offers plenty of privacy. Natural materials were used to complement it's environment. Portofino coping mimics natural stone, without the side effects of minerals getting in the pool. Bora Bora Pool Quartz Plaster was used to give it this rich blue color. Plenty of comfortable seating surrounds the pool. A Stone Face Wall in combination of a Stone Face Reverse Bond Beam were used to control the extreme grade of the yard and again blends perfect in it's environment.

This freeform swimming pool and hot tub in Elmhurst, IL measures roughly 18'0" x 30'0", and the hot tub measures 7'6" in diameter. The spa has a custom stone spillway into the swimming pool. The ample sunshelf is 135 square feet, allowing for several chaise lounge chairs. The pool and spa coping is natural flagstone, and the spa cladding is natural stone as well.
