Design Farm GroupIpe wood accents help highlight the black exterior color of the this Cape re-design. In order to integrate the sloped terrain and create ample gathering spaces, we created various levels in the landscape. The terraced levels help open up the narrow space and provide better views to the Hudson River below. Ornamental grasses and ferns and a simple palette of white plantings create dimension against the black architecture. Local fieldstone and up cycled brownstone walls give definition and structure to the landscape.

Mediterrasian LandscapesThis photo was taken four years after completion of the landscaping. Four years ago, we renovated this desolate, weedy front yard by creating terraces with beatiful stone retaining walls. Then we added colorful, drought tolerant plants that grow so well in San Francisco's Mediterranean climate. We installed drip irrigation and concealed it with attractive ginger rock pebble mulch.
ARCADIA GARDEN Ландшафтная СтудияНебольшое диагональное понижение рельефа в приватной части мы разбили террасированием на удобные лужайки и слегка усилили, подняв грунт в зонах террас, что позволило и задекорировать торцы высотой около метра и дать возможность спуска с них прямо на газон. Лаконичные растительные объемы мягко обтекают лужайки и удобные широкие ступени-спуски, оптимально гармонирующие с распластанным силуэтом архитектуры в стиле Райта и ступенчатым стилем крыш. Вид с террас и панорамных окон на общественный парк решили отделить группами кулис, не создавая четкой границы. Забор с соседом слева закрыли плотной линейной изгородью, а соседский дом справа удачно спрятали за кедровой кулисой переменной высоты.
Лаконичность форм растений и монотонность цветовой гаммы белого сада сполна компенсируется выразительностью раскидистых силуэтов нашей любимицы ирги канадской. Ассортимент растений довольно обширный и осенью это проявляется в разными оттенках листвы-от оранжевого до малиново-фиолетового. В ландшафтном освещении сделан упор на подсветку растений и ступеней.

Rhoda Maw Garden DesignThe client wanted to “create a pretty garden with geometric structure” and to “bring light into a dark, neglected, dingy space”.
The garden required all the ‘usual’ amenities, but within the limited space. So once the plants have established they will hide the shed and compost bin, the raised bed will act as additional seating, the washing line base is hidden within a planting hole, the Hammock is hidden away and a sleek water butt was added as a ‘feature’ rather than something to disguise.
The new fencing and painted walls, together with the tumbled sandstone paving brings much more light into the space and complements the brickwork of the house and raised bed.
Tabor Group Landscapelarge walkway patio on the front of the house with contrast color natural stone pavers. Stone lamp posts give privacy, dimension and a great look to the front doorway.
