MRF Construction, Inc.We turned a forgotten space, where pipes, heating ducts and electrical wiring hung down from the ceiling, into a stunning wine cellar to house the homeowner’s prized collection of champagne. The original brick foundation wall was left exposed to complement the new custom double barrel vaulted ceiling, and mahogany racks were designed for optimum bottle storage. No detail was forgotten in this climate controlled wine room, from the travertine stone floors and stereo speakers to the LED lighting that illuminates without adding heat and heavy glass walls for enjoying it from the rest of the basement.

Cartwright Wood ProductsOn this particular project, we needed to re-frame and wall over an existing staircase opening. Existing in the interior of the house was brick wall cladding that needed to be matched exactly. We were able to find to source a brick that matched the brick on this 10-15 year old house, making veneers that fit over the new wall framing, saving the customer added labor costs.

JDD Wine Cellars, LLCCustom wine room designed, fabricated and installed with clients rustic tones in mind. Knotty alder, full glass entry with a viewing window from the adjacent room immediately details a stone, cave-like entry into the wine room. Individual bottles, display, bulk storage and presentation shelves adorn this inviting space. Displays are all accented with LED lights on a dimmable transformer. Unique ceiling and wall sconce light fixtures provide just enough light to easily identify all labels. A wine cellar cooling system is hidden in a dead corner of the racking so as not to interfere with the décor or capacity. The used wine barrel offer the perfect surface to set a glass down and enjoy the space.
