Autumn Inspired Single Family Home in Aldie
This client came to me with a vision after moving into their new home- they wanted cozy, warm, and livable and were inspired by a model home they had recently visited. The challenge in the Family Room was to keep the dramatic stone fireplace as the focal point, without visually closing the room in from the Kitchen and Dining Room. We oriented the furniture "galley style" which creates an intimate conversation area that also highlights the fireplace. We continued the same custom taupe draperies with the pumpkin contrast band from the Dining Room into the Family Room, and added in autumn printed pillows on the sofa to help define the color palette further. The end result is a Family Room where the whole family wants to snuggle up and relax in together.
