This 5'x8' island top was custom made for the homeowner reusing the original floor joists that were salvaged during the demolition phase. The joists were ripped into widths ranging from 1.5-3" glued up and then a 3.5" perimeter with mitered corners were added for a finished look. Prior to installation the top was sanded with a floor sander and sealed.
