Flooring Choice

Need help choosing a floor for my living room, kitchen, hallway, entry and 2 bedrooms in a small lake cottage. All the rooms flow together so I will be doing the same floor in all rooms. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I currently have unfinished red oak stairs that will be finished to match the new floor. I've attached pictures below...

    lk, great looking house! I love wood floors! You could do something really different and stain them a gorgeous grey color!

    Something like a natural finished reclaimed oak would match well in a lake cottage, as well if the stairs are red oak they could just simply be finished with natural oil and would match very well in color. Please see http://www.northernwideplank.ca/index.php/portfolio-posts/portage/

    I like the floors why change them take that money and use it elsewhere.

    But if I do change them would you go character rustic maybe grays and brown or dark gray barn wood look....see attached ... Thank you for your help... ; )
