    The heaters are electric. They are actually infrared heaters which heat objects rather than the air the way standard outdoor heaters do, and can be adjusted via a thermostat. These heaters are made by Infratech. My clients love these! I'm currently installing them in a outdoor room addition for another client. Thanks for asking.

      Why do you prefer this brand of electric heater vs. the Solaris brand? We are in the process of buying some heaters and don't know which to choose...thank you!

      I don't actually have any experience with the Solaira brand, so I don't have an opinion one way or the other, but I have had great luck with Infratech. Best of luck with your decision!

      Thanks @R Johnston Interiors! @ckosch, we wanted to explain the technical difference between short wave heaters and medium wave. Our heaters use medium wave quartz elements which emit a barely discernible, pleasing glow that will not affect the ambience of the space. Short-wave or halogen electric heaters tend to produce a harsh glare or bright-colored light. Please let us know if we can help you answer any other questions on our end!
