I need help deciding on which pattern to get for my curtains. Im torn between red and white Chevron and red victorian park toile. Also, i just ordered a couple red and white chevron pillows for my bed and want to get a white bed frame/headboard. Any other suggestions would be appreciated!!

hace 10 añoscute bedroom! I think the toile would look better than the chevron.
Maybe in the future, think about getting a black French style headboard:decoenthusiaste
hace 10 añosI'm not really the one to comment, because I'm totally tired of chevron, but I do think the pillows and the piece of art is enough of it. How about simple white cotton floor to ceiling curtains? You could put them on a custom painted (by you) red rod!Drapery Connection
hace 10 añosI am not quite as daring as you with pattern mixes. I really like your graphic chevron wall behind your headboard. Because it make ssuch a large statement in the room, I would not add another chevron patter at the window - besides it would look too "matchy-matchy" with your red chevron art piece. If it's a decision between the two patterns, I would choose the toile. If you were my client, I would advise you towards a simpler window treatment. You have such a strong focal point in this room that another "look-at-me" wall in the room could make your bedroom seem smaller/busier.groveraxle
hace 10 añosI would probably either get these Pottery Barn patterned curtains, or make my own from this fabric from Ikea:Carolyn Albert-Kincl, ASID

hace 10 añosCute! Really fun room, you have done a wonderful job. What about white 2" wood blinds with white sheers or layer white sheers with a heavy fabric matching green panel on each side. Photos wrong color:)

hace 10 añosI would go with a solid white like the target shabby chic vertical ruffle drapery or a white with a thin stripe of the green color.Carolyn Albert-Kincl, ASID
hace 10 añosSounds like the consensus on the drapery question is to keep it simple!JMittman Designs
hace 10 añosSorry to be blunt, but you just cannot add another chevron to that room. You've been given great advice above, keep it simple, a solid curtain is a must.-IMHO.Lynnie
hace 10 añosÚltima modificación: hace 10 añosRed would go wonderfully with purple and gold. There are many designs you can go with. Make the rug with all the colors but don't have much of a design there. The wall-paper is already a Huge Statement in that room. With curtains I would go with gold sheer which would complement the green.
Here are a few ideas with pillows:

hace 10 añosI actually really like the red damask pillows you have on there now. And I love indianpatti's pic of the curvy black headboard. It will pick up on the black accents in the room and give them more presence.
My choice for curtains would be to give all your wonderful patterns a break with simple white cotton panels on a black rod. Don't invite too many people to the party.
I love your chevron stripes btw. Not tired of them yet!Paige Egbert

I see the word Paris on the wall. There are many great French accents that can go into this room. The possibilities are endless! :)

hace 10 añosif you really want to go with red, that could work, but make sure to keep it in the same tone as the current colors of the room.
and on the curtains - solid or white as you have been suggested. :)
great style so far!saratogaswizzlestick
hace 10 añosWow, impressive paint job. I use tape but it never comes out as crisp and perfect as yours. I like chevron and the color you picked out is fresh and fun. I would go with white curtains too and let your chevrons take center stage where they belong. I do think a headboard would look great, I think I would pick white.Kelli Richards Interiors
hace 10 añosWhat you have done so far is very cute and playful with the chevrons, however, by adding more chevrons or patterns it would take away from the point you were trying to make in the accent wall and would become overkill.
Some others commenters recommended white sheers and that is exactly what I would recommend as well. For the Headboard though, I think it would be nice to compliment the taupe colour in the wall with a light blue, which is also a very classic French colour. I like this one from Ballard Designs http://www.ballarddesigns.com/camden-tufted-headboard/10518?SourceCode=BDSBT1
The prices are very reasonable as well.
Another thing I would recommend is adding an area rug under the bed and a linen bed skirt as well.
It will give the room a more finished look. That is my 2 cents ;)Paige Egbert
Autor originalhace 10 añosThat is actually the headboard I've been looking for!! And I was also thinking of getting a bed skirt as well, I should just get a plain white one right?Kelli Richards Interiors
hace 10 añosCool! Yeah I think it would look great, and it has a very subtle pattern that actually has the same taupey colour of your wall in it! For the bed skirt I would go with white to pick up from the white in your wall and curtains (to be) plus it is a fresh look that will go with almost any bedding. Here is a great one from West Elm http://www.westelm.com/products/linen-cotton-bedskirt-b684/?pkey=e%7Cbed%2Bskirt%7C1%7Cbest%7C0%7C1%7C24%7C%7C1&cm_src=PRODUCTSEARCH||NoFacet-_-NoFacet-_-NoMerchRules-_-Lynnie
hace 10 añosÚltima modificación: hace 10 añosJust a thought...when I think of Paris, I think of the color pink. Pink goes very well with the color green you have in the room. Just small touches and you can add the right red to that as well. Just make sure that your colors are more cool and not warm, even though the green is not totally a cool green. Some Paris ideas:
