How come the project cost is 200,000< ? Can the plans be downsized?

So, I love the look of the house, everything about it actually. I only see one bedroom, which is fine, 2 is the goal, but I see that the living space is rather elongated, can the house plans be shortened up to make a smaller house? And add another small room/office? Or hell, another small bathroom and a mud room? You can always add right?
