Do I need a sliding gate on my entrance?

I dont have any idea what kind of gate I wanna have it in my villa island.. Im thinking bout all cover gate so that i have my own privacy and no one outsider can stare at me or look at me what Im doin inside my land.. Can anyone plz give me some oponion?.. thank u so much.

    Yes you could have a sliding gate. Basically, for most sliding gates to work you need an area (either left or right side of entrance - which you have) of entrance plus overhang (for cantilever part of gate). For example, if the entrance was 4m wide the gate would be 4.8m long so a clearance of 4.8m would be required (on one side only). Unfortunately we only cover UK but we do have a guide that may give you a bit more info. See here.

    As for design, for privacy you should be looking at either wooden gates or something like metal framed timber cladded ones.

    Thanks sir for the info.. Much appreciate it.. Actually, I still got no idea what kind of gate design suitable and perfect for my home.. Im also thinking bout the arch glass and stainless steel something like on this photo. Any recommand?.. Thanks alot.

    Stainless steel and frosted glass would look nice for the property. As for design, either bow top or flat would look good. Personally, I would suggest a double bow (as below but in stainless steel and glass).
