Open plan foyer....too open!
We recently did a renovation on our front entry, kitchen and living room area, which are all located at the front portion of our house. I love the results, (still waiting for a few cabinet doors on either side of the cooktop) but feel like the entryway is too open to the rest of the home. No walls were taken down, but the kitchen was redesigned, and was moved forward. plus I'm still trying to get the living room layout finalized. We have an ocean view out our windows, so don't want to block the view! ( I took these photos at night!) We are in the process of acquiring new furniture as well. I have a large RH coffee table that will be replacing the existing one, and other than the sofa and lamps, everything else can be changed. We would certainly be open to any suggestions requiring new pieces or different furniture layouts to help create a more cohesive cozy look. Thanks in advance!

(5) comentarios@Cruca : Thank you for responding We both signed the original AND a mid-renovations updated contract, and both totalled 40.000. However, at the very end, he recognised an error on the final total, and explained that if I add up all the individual items, it totals 50.000. I understand, but he knew my budget was 40.000, and now because the work is finished, I can't even remove or reduce any of the work. It just seems unfair, because everyone could say that all the time. I trusted my builder, and as it was a printed document, I assumed all his calculations were correct!...Ver másnew kitchen

Now we need to figure out the kitchen! White tiles, black granite counters n backspash, white cabinets??? (4) comentariosHola SUSANA: Se entiende, que la puerta de acceso a la vivienda, es la del muro de la izquierda y la de paso a Cocina, la de la pared de la derecha, en la que también parece abrirse un ventanal. Suponemos también que buscas un monoambiente, o sea, sólo Salón. Lo ´último sería saber, si te planteas emplear todos los muebles nuevos y si tienes otra estancia para ver TV.. Sin entrar en detalles, o mayores explicaciones, parece aconsejable tirar sólo el tabique de la derecha y él que no citas, que oculta la escalera, pudiendo aprovechar el volumen de almacenaje bajo la misma. I created the impression of separate spaces with rugs and low bookcases which didn't distract from the views. This isn't a great picture of the execution but hopefully you'll get the idea. Your house is very nice, it will come together.
