We have a kamado grill set in a butcher block counter top

On the counter top the wood and glue are separating from heat. Do you have any ideas of what we could put around the grill to protect the butcher block?

    When you repair the butcher block, you could try using the same exterior glue that is used on outdoor fire pits. Be sure to clamp and wipe excess glue. Also, if you can raise the grill to get it further from the butcher block, you might add concrete heat deflection board inside the circle. This is the same material used for inside gas grill cabinets. Good luck with the project and happy grilling!
