Modern Kitchen Makeover - DIY!

Gonna try something different here. I am posting a few photos of my just-finished modern kitchen renovation and depending on the level of interest, I will add more photos and more write-up.

So ask questions, ask for more photos, provide feedback/critiques, and let me know what, if anything, you would like to know more about. From thought processes to the actual physical labor of doing something, anything goes. Who better to hear it from than your typical DIYer who just does this for fun in my free time?! :)

    Very nice love the pop of backsplash color. What brand style hood is that? I like the curved lines in it.

      @tbchic,

      the hood, range, oven and microwave are all IKEA. the perspective of the photo actually gives it a odd look. :) LUFTIG Exhaust Hood - Ikea

      I do like how it looks and love the tile work. Not sure if it's the angle of the picture but the cooktop looks far from the sink. Because I cook a lot, I prefer them to be somewhat close to one another. Not only because of the chopping but also straining the pasta in the sink.

      You are correct, Re-born. They are a little further than we wanted but working around existing plumbing and some other restrictions we decided to move forward with it. It's been over a few months now and we don't even realize the distance! So that's a good thing. :)
