Installing a rain showerhead to a sloped ceiling

Does anyone know what I would need to make this work? I've called numerous plumbing stores and other stores but no one seems to understand how this can be done. Some say put it through the ceiling; others say build a box to the sloped ceiling and mound on the bottom of the box. I've seen pictures of arms hanging down that had some type of hinge attached to the ceiling. Need help

Thanks Glen Ellyn. We may end up doing the same thing. I'm looking into some boating hardware and will let you know if I find anything.

You just need a rain head that has a tilt functionality.

See how much slop is in the escutcheon. It may tilt enough or could even be bent a bit.

I thought about that, but, the arm needs to come down 36 inches. My ceiling is 10 ft in height and needs a really long arm. I've seen pictures of showers with sloped ceiling and using the long arms, but, can't determine what type flange they use.

Nope, I’m just going to have the rod come directly out of the drywall with no escutcheon and take extra care around the rod with drywall and caulking.

They have one with a roller ball in the center works

I ended up using a 2 piece radiator floor flange with a 1 1/2 opening. We used silicone to attach one half and connect the other after it dried which enables repairs in the future without having to purchase another one.

In case anyone finds this thread and is in the same predicament, Jaclo brand is the only one that I could find that makes it:https://www.jaclo.com/detail/angledsloped-adjustable-ceiling-escutcheon-6019-

also the home depot link above was not for shower arms and wouldnt work, its made to hold things like curtains rods etc.

Nice option cathie2029. But who ever thought you'd pay $300 for an escutcheon?!?!

@HU-28922213 i know. it's crazy priced, but if you need it, it seems they are the only ones who have it. And i needed one, so had to pay, another option is for a little square bump out in the ceiling and using a regular, less pricey brand. I don't like the look of this though so I paid.
