Can you use any kind of tile for the bathroom around the tub or shower?

    Most yes a little more info would help us help you.I usually suggest large format tiles in those areas to keep grout lines to a min.

    If using large format, 12 x 12 or bigger, I would recommend using a porcelain tile vs ceramic. You can use natural stone like travertine, granite or marble but I would stay away from slate. If using a small format, 6 x 6 or smaller, you can use a standard ceramic wall tile.

    If you're looking to put some tile in the shower itself we make subways tiles that look amazing in bathrooms. If you look under our projects at the country line or the opal line.
