Long upstairs corridor ideas

Hi all
I have a really long upstairs narrow passage and wondering if you could help with some ideas
I dont want to make it more narrow looking by adding pictures
What are your thoughts if i added subtle corbels in between 1st and third door in right and possibly a chandelier to break up a bitt

    hi ya,

    couple of ideas to think about with varying degrees of effort/ cost.

    - Paint the doors? - the 2 end ones in bright colour eg. Red or warm colour and the side doors in a shade up/ down from the walls. This will bring 2 ends closer and push back the sides.

    - Add group of pictures to one wall.

    - If changing carpet is an option use stripes to widen hall.

    - Lighting (track maybe) - directed to the art to draw attention to these to break up the length.

    - Maybe some pendants - depending on length of hall (2 or 3) - same as that to break up the length.

      How about brightly coloured artwork on the empty wall?

      Have you thought about using mirrors, they always optically enlarge any space?
      I would suggest hanging a lot of small mirrors to create a sort of art display.

      Add some wainscotting to break it up.

      I would split the wall, and wallpaper bottom section..
