    Good you found your paper! I was going back through my posts and realized I had sent you the wrong way! I was thinking about a panel product called "Lincrusta". Similar in that it heavily embossed...but not that exact pattern and is painted after. I've seen it used for High Victorian restoration work as wainscot panels.

      Can you describe the painting technique? I have paintable wallpaper above my chair rail in the dining room (viney pattern). I am less than pleased with my painting technique. I love that this brings out the depth.

      Know they do not make it on angle for stairs. You apply it just like wall paper.

      The painting technique used to achieve the finish on the lincrusta you see here is traditionally referred to as "Scumble", or "Scumbling".
