GE monogram appliance

Can anyone comment on the GE monogram appliances? Any good? Problems.

    You are correct that the Monogram appliances look good but it ends there. My brand new French door Monogram refridgerator arrived with a bad icemaker, non working freezer and a light out. The doors make a loud bang when closed, and the shelves are poorly designed. GE service came to my home to repair, and then told me the brand spanking new refridgerator (2 weeks ago) had a bad board and none were available as this is a brand new model. GE ageeed to swap out the refridgerator for a model of my choice, but would not refund me if I chose a lower cost appliance. So in the end I did get a new refridgerator, and while it is a lesser cost, it does work better. Here is GE one of the world's largest companies and they refused to refund me on a clearly defective appliance. Poor customer support.

    I had a Viking built in refridgerator before and Viking was a far better design.

    I was going to buy a Sub Zero but had my arm twisted by the decorator to stay with one brand. Expensive lesson!

      It is a beautiful and feature rich appliance, but having not been a user or consumer of the appliance I do not feel qualified to render an opinion of value for this device.

      We are just reviewing appliances for a new kitchen and love the look of the GE Monogram French door wall oven. Have not found any other brand sold in Canada that has a French door style wall oven and so are considering going with all GE Monogram appliances because of the wall oven. However, with a Brand that is so high end in cost, I'm surprised that I can't find any Consumer Reports on this Brand. Any ideas why this might be?

      No, sorry. Perhaps GE and Monogram are all being grouped into GE. I am really not sure.

      I have just purchased all new stainless appliances from Lowes. Great look. I am enjoying the refrigerator however the double oven takes very long to reach desired temperature. Be sure to pre heat long before you normally would.

      Do you know the style of the face frame on the cabinets/drawers? Is it winslow? We are building a home using Holiday cabinets :)
